Beschreibung
Based in Brunswick, we live centrally, close to all the best Melbourne has to offer. Our guests love Brunswick and being so close to the CBD and also with easy access to regional Victoria and the International airport.
We have two children (now 12 and 15) who enjoy hanging out with guests often playing sport, music, board games, walking around the 'hood or going on outings or cooking together. -

The kids are especially welcoming and love international visitors. You will live in Brunswick, one of the best spots for being able to see Melbourne. We can help with ideas for further travel in rural Victoria and beyond. You will have your own space and plenty of time to enjoy things for yourself as well as company with us!

Arbeit
We are a family with two children (12 and 15). Based in Brunswick, we live centrally, close to all the best Melbourne has to offer. We like simple things - park outings, food outings, some basketball, dog walking, hanging out at home in the garden or playing board games. There is always something fun happening in our local community.
PLEASE DO NOT WRITE FOR STAYS WANTED FOR MONTHS IN ADVANCE. WE ARE SEEKING PEOPLE COMING TO MELBOURNE SOON OR EVEN LOOKING IMMEDIATELY. NOT ABLE TO COMMIT FOR STAYS MONTHS DOWN THE TRACK.
At the moment, we are especially in need for people who can help with any of the following:
- carpentry/building/plumbing/handyperson tasks involving drills and light tools
- good swimmers who can help with swimming
- sewing and genuine upholstery repair for a couple of old and loved wingback couches
- gardening
- junk removal
- technology
- People strong in mathematics
- building websites, social media, marketing
-Good at establishing and implementing systems, problem solvers, ideas people
- French speakers
-Cooks who are health concious not for just regular baking - high plant and protein, less sugar etc
- looking after a very cool 11 year old - fun and active activities
-some furniture moving
That's the wish list - if you are not good at these things, please still feel free to write and ask if we can host you!
Please note - we only take non smokers.
We are fine with people with individual dietary needs and values - we enjoy vegan and vegetarian food and we also eat some meat and fish as well - but we like diversity and healthy food mainly.
Also, help is needed across many daily activities for our home and family - eg maintenance gardening, helping with tidying and cleaning the house, daily tasks such as the laundry and the dishes, helping with all sorts of tasks - may include painting, window cleaning, moving things (not too heavy) around the house, occasional DIY projects etc.
The kids are friendly and fun and love international visitors. We would like you to feel welcome and part of our family while you stay in the best spot for seeing Melbourne. We can help with ideas for further travel in rural Victoria and beyond. You will have privacy in your room and shared bathroom facilities.
We are close to great shops, library, gyms, swimming pool, cafes, restaurants, transport - two trams to city, one train, many bus lines across Melbourne, 5km from central city, close to parks, supermarket....everything! You may be able to borrow a bicycle or other things too if you need... -

I really appreciated having my own space in the bungalow and loved my snuggles with Pippi. Brunswick is a cool part of the city with easy access to the centre.
Clare, Agnes, Orlando and Pippie have been really welcoming with us. We felt home since the first minute!
Work was relatively easy and Clare was very flexible and accommodating with our needs.
We mostly took care of the garden and helping to declutter her shed.
