a) Garden tidy if weather conditions allow - mowing, weeding, pruning roses,
g) Removing ivy from walls needs strength.
b) Winter preparation of small potager ... a little digging...
c) Cut kindling wood using chainsaw or appropriate electric tools.
d) Make a wooden saw horse to cut logs
e) Repair of small items
f) Re arrange canal tiles on a corrugated roof
WINTER - INDOORS
i) Catalogue into albums loose photos which have already been sorted.
j) Help / advise how to declutter / dispose old hardware / software to recycling.
k) Help / advise what I need to instal to bring quality sound and video into my house
l) Help/ advise how to convert blog postings to MS WORD or book format or other pdf format
m) Know how to sort / organise large unwieldy iphoto storage. I once bought a system to do so!

You are welcome if you can use power tools ( chainsaws, sanders, drills etc) and manually prepare and paint exterior wooden shutters and exterior woodwork to a professional standard which is not difficult.
Are you a carpenter able to repair base of shutters and willing to stay longer than two weeks until the work is completed?
We can discuss arrangements if you can show capability.
o). Sand, clean, repaint waist height metal garden gates
p). preparation of high double wooden gates, bifold shutters and door shutters that need carpentry
replacement / repair. REPAINT.
q) Make / repair wooden gates.
r) Create concrete exterior flooring apx 2m square
s). Line an attic roof space with plastic sheeting. Staple work. Needs two people at least.
t) Replace battery and wiring onto a man's bike to make electrical again.
PLUS if you wish FRENCH language study is extra to a 25 hour week.
- Before total agreement we communicate by whats app audio / video
- You will have a private room onto a shared courtyard but shared bathroom. Respect for privacy is essential.
- Rooms are not centrally heated. Woodburner management is by the host.
- Be prepared to wear warm clothing indoors and use a hot water bottle. Electric underblankets available.
- This rural sleepy tourist village is almost comatose in Winter but busy in Spring / Summer when Parisian families and
Internationals arrive. Mostly, a quiet retreat! No razzamatazz!
In this ground floor L shaped 18th Century village house, personal space is vital to avoid stress. Good communication is essential. Please appreciate efforts of the host and be mindful of the task to achieve the best we can. Smartphones can be put aside during work hours.
I love living and meeting new people but I am not in 'loco parentis' & do not wish to host anyone without basic language or social skills or understanding of RURAL regions, who says well 'travelled' or 'likes walking" but who will not venture alone and says "oh where she comes from always drives!" because walking here means not on pavements!

Autumn & Winter - If you need central heating then this is not your place.
Hot water bottles, electric radiators, blankets, shawls are available.
6. Woodburners are managed by HOST for Health & Safety. You might be asked to stack logs, chop kindling, bring logs in.
7. No television.
8. Walking, cycling circuits in NATURE surround the village.
9. Canoë rental available spring, summer, autumn.
10. Wild swimming
Collection from Poitiers / Tours airports BUT preferably Chatellerault train station as it takes an hour or more in each direction!
NOTE that a Taxi from Chatellerault will cost 80 to 100 euros in one direction as there is no other transport.
Please help apx 5 hours for each of 5 days amounting to apx 25 hours per week or about 6 hours over 4 days.
We NEGOTIATE rest days. Travel day is a rest day if you are here 7 days.
The host needs a rest.
VILLAGE & beautiful COUNTRYSIDE:
Angles sur L'Anglin is a Garden of Paradise, Artists Dream, famous for Magdalennian rock shelter carvings, 'Les Jours' embroidery and a ruined 12th century Chateau. Every day is different, yet stone walled houses have stood for aeons and pathways take you to hidden natural treasures. It is unsuitable for those who like city razzamatazz.
You can walk, cycle, swim, canoe, kayak, fish.
In Summer it expands from fewer than 400 full time residents with Parisian and second home owners. There are restaurants, restos, bars, a wonderful English tea shop serving meals, a bakery, a multi-services bar and shop with Wifi, small library and market vans. Oysters are sold in appropriate months. Check availability in winter as restaurants close without tourists! It has a part time Tourist Office. No cinema. Supermarkets within 10km. Spa town 12km. One to two hours drive to River Loire Chateaux. On the border of Brenne National Park, a haven for flora and fauna.
