  Beschreibung

  My name is Marie and I live with my husband Pierre. We are very much into nature (espacially bird/animals watching), gardening, music, outdoors activities such as hiking, biking, skiing...
  We are originally from Switzerland but spend a lot of time in this house in France. We have two children (29 and 27) whith whom we often spend time and one grand child who we regularly look after.
  
  With my husband we inherited a property situated on the Lake of Geneva. It has a very large and beautiful garden as well as a forest that we decided to keep as a natural reserve. There's a direct access to the lake which makes the place very unique and enjoyable. The house is situated not far away from Geneva (Switzerland) but also close to Thonon, Evian (France) and the Alps. It is a very good location to enjoy both cities and nature.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  We are very much into outdoors activities and would be happy to take you for a hike, bird watching, sailing/SUP on the lake. We are happy to play games such as chess, jass (swiss card games), any board games and ping pong too.
  We have traveled a lot around the world and are always happy to meet other travelers, learn about their culture and share about ours. We love cooking international food such as asian, european and middel east.
  French is our mothertong language but we also speak english, german (swiss german) and some italian.
  We'd be very happy to share and learn some gardening skills.
  
  Our two kids are very much into hiking and rock climbing. If the time allows it they'd be happy to share those activities with you if you're into them too.

  Arbeit

  The house, garden and forest require a lot of maintenance which is the reason why we'd like to host workawayers that are interested / have skills in :
  - eco-gardening (lumberjack welcome !),
  - house renovating / maintenance (painting, fixing things here and there),
  - overall interested in nature in general.
  
  We also have project on maintening our gear: small sailing boats, paddle boat, wind surf, SUP,... so anyone who has knowledge on how to put a sail on a mast, how to fix sailing material (etc) is welcome.
  
  The work could require good physical condition.

  Unterkunft

  As you can see on the pictures, there is house and a dependence that can nicely host a couple of workawayers or even a family. Each room has an independant bathroom. My husband and I live in the house so it would be a shared space, except if you stay in the dependance.
  
  We propose to have food in common. We can cook together if you'd like. We are on a vegetarian diet so we wont cook meat/fish. If you're vegan we can adapt to your diet (with your help ;)) .

  Was noch ...

  The house is a bit isolated so we provide a bicycle you can use to go to the supermarkt (7min, 2km), bus stop (20 min, 6km) that drives to Geneva city center (30 min ride, 3CHF) or boat stop (20min, 6km). Regular boats crossing from Yvoire or Thonon to Switzerland (Lausanne, Nyon,..).
  
  There's a parkinglot if you come by car / motorbike.
  
  If want to get to us by public transportation we can pick you up at the bus / boat stop.
  
  *** We ask you to remain quiet (no loud music / noise) after 10pm (for us and the nature). ***

  The reception is very limited as the house is isolated but there is wifi you can use.

  There is a large parkinglot where you can stay with your camper. You're more than welcome to use the facilities in the house.
