Bisher 90 mal gespeichert
Hi, my name is Limor nice to virtually meet you.
Let me tell you a bit about our community, guest house, intentions, space ✨ and me.
It started in the early '90s. When I went to the first rave, this experience opened my mind and soul. It lighted a fire inside of me to search for a different way of life that I lived at the time.
I fell in love with the energy, the lights, the vibrations, the glitter. The most enchanting part was the feeling no matter who or what you are, you were welcome.
Fast forward 20 years later. I had been part of many subcultures, tribal experiences, community gathering all around the world. 57 countries later I found a small beach spot in the amazing Vietnam to start a Green Artist Community.
Creat, do, share, grow, sustainable, enjoy, less suffering, more expanding.
To make this happen I am Opening a guest house that includes a vegy restaurant, Bamboo art garden and a Workshop area.
At the moment we are in renovation plus art time. Always art time ;)
The guest house is not active yet. Goal is to be open in November.
Green, Art, Community? let me expand.
Any plastic use goes by "reduce, reuse, recycle". plastic for safety or health reason is welcomed more. We do what we can about the big trash problem. clean not only our space but also around. join cleaning groups on the beach.
Where has it been made, from what, by who?
Everything we use we ask these questions. Life is complicated, we do the best that we can to use products that are local, fair trade and organic. So far I found towels, soaps, shampoo that are guilty free. its a work in progress.
Energy, we use electricity from the city, yes need for air con it's very very hot. no budget yet for solar or wind. Hot water from the sun.
Food and drink.
Not sure yet what will be a small caffe or a Vegy restaurant.
Goal to have local organic produce market once a month. so many great farmers all around, like honey and Dalat strawberries. yummy and close by.
Recycled and Bamboo art, A Bamboo art garden. An art installation from bamboo, a style inspired by the moon. one of my communities is burning man, made art installations in the desert, most excited to learn to create with bamboo.
Workshop area for spreading the love of body movement. Champa local culture dance, ecstatic dance, yoga, organic house, reggae, tribal, belly dancing, hora, square dancing, Russian folklore shamanism, African beats, Sunrises and Champagne
Music is allowed up to 22:00.
At the moment we are focusing on this area.
Building a wall from recycled trash and cement.
Making a new bathroom, fixing one part of the roof. Making an art installation of Vietnamese crafts hanging from the ceiling.
The guest house has 7 rooms. 2 for staff and 5 for guest, privet and dorm rooms.
At the moment the volunteers are in the not renovated yet rooms. There the next project after the front area.
We are a small group from 2-8 people. 4 in the group who are planing long term stay.
Just started in July. So far the people stayed 2-4 weeks or left in 3 days.
We work from 11-5. If we need to finish a project renovation or art. We are flexible start before or finish later. Weekends off. Time to rest, enjoy the beach or dance.
Some times I cook sometimes we eat out.
We usually are Chilling after dinner which is an early dinner around 5:30-6:00 after the work and dinner is done.
You can use the kitchen and cook at any time. Please clean after yourself. Many ants love crumbs. We did build a compost my first time, so exiting. still doesn’t help with the ants loving crumbs ;)
Do you have a gift you would like to contribute?
More about the area not only us.
Location: Mui Ne is a small fishing village that became a tourist destination after a solar eclipse in 1995. They were like what this is so nice and close to the big city.
Its 5 hours from Ho Chin Minh by bus. as a true beach town, there is one long road. starting with big resorts goes into many seafood restaurants to small hostels and hotels on the beach and on the hill in front. a local market and tons of food options.
We are on a hill in front of the beach. on the main road halfway in. a great spot between the different styles of budgets. have one big frame to look into the water by the hotel in front, next to it an open space surrounded by many palm trees.
Dancing options close by like Dragon beach club for dancing with locals and travellers. that what's nice in this town. the cultures all mix together, LGBTQ friendly. chill safe vibe.
The other attractions besides the beach and the food is Kit Surfing. there are many schools all over. during the high season which is Nov- April. many kite surfers come to enjoy the winds.
Champa Hindu Towers from the 9 century, a beautiful spot on a hill with a view and war bonkers as well. symbolism to the beauty and ugliness of humans.
Red and White sand dunes. like a little Sahara.
Dalat with its great organic food and cold temperatures is 4 hours away.
If you missed it.
At the moment we are in renovation time. we are a small group and would love other creative, artist, builders, cookers to join our team.
If you would like to join us later, be part of the guest house, lead a workshop, build art, general help, DJ, all is welcome. How would you like to add value, just let me know.
I think this sums it up for the most important parts.
