Myself and my husband Rick live by the coast in rural Donegal, in the northwest corner of Ireland, along with our two Jack Russell terrier dogs, Zack and Pico. I also have a horse, Fenway.
My parents live right beside us and my sister and her family leave nearby also.
We're self employed running a local brewery. We live in a small but lovely house with a half acre garden. Beside the house is a studio with an office space and a small, simple self-contained guest accommodation. This is where our Workaways will stay.
We're active and enjoy the outdoors. The surrounding area is wonderful for walking, cycling, swimming, sailing and any number of other outdoor pursuits.
We're a kilometre from the village of Rathmullan which has a shop, a great bakery, a pharmacy, and several good pubs.
From the bottom of our lane you can take the local bus south to Ramelton and Letterkenny, or north to Portsalon and Fanad Head.Arten von Hilfe und Lernmöglichkeiten

Rathmullan has a Sailing & Watersports School and associated club, with members and pupils of many ages and backgrounds. The village is a seaside resort and is lively during the summer months. There's live music in a couple of the bars at weekends.
We'll be able to teach you lots about the responsibilities of owning and maintaining your own home, and looking after pets!
We have travelled and lived abroad ourselves and we love spending time with people from different cultures.Arbeit
We're looking mainly for help outdoors in the garden, doing the kind of jobs that have to be tackled once a year. Things like cutting the ivy on trees, cutting back briars and pulling weeds, clipping shrubs and cutting hedges. There's also firewood to be stacked. On top of this there'll be odds and ends of clearing, maintenance, etc. Occasionally we need pet/house sitting for our two dogs when we're away. And very occasionally (particularly if the weather is bad!) we might have indoor chores and projects.

We have a very simple but pleasant guest "flat" in the studio right beside our house. It has a generous bedroom and a basic kitchen and dining area. There's a deck and a lawn to sit out on when the sun is shining! We will provide all bedding and towels.
We'd love you to join us for dinner on several evenings but in principle you will be self-catering.Was noch ...
I work in the studio beside your living quarters; Rick works in Letterkenny and can offer a lift on weekday mornings and home in the evening. The local bus runs right by the bottom of our lane, several times a day.
We can offer you bikes, although we can't guarantee they'll be the right size for you!
We're fairly flexible about when you work and suggest that your daily timetable is guided by the weather so that you can make the most of your free time.Etwas mehr Information

The internet is fine by rural Irish standards but don't expect anything too spectacular. We're happy for you to arrange your work for us around your own work, as long as everything gets done at the end of the day!
