  Currently not hosting, I am looking to log some miles sailing.
  
  Hi I am Rémi, frenchy who grew up in London but has come back to take charge of a small building in the centre of Orléans.
  My project here is simple: The 5-flat building has an empty flat and I have to make fresh for a new tenant; once that is done, I want to hit the basement and refit into an office.
  In parrallel to this, professionals will have other work on the building that will lead them to put scaffolding up the sides and that is when I want to take advantage of the scaffolding to treat the exposed woodwork on the back of the building.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  Volunteers can benefit from this small historical city. This small university town has a healthy mix of people and has everything that is needed; anything that you can't find in Orléans will probably be in Paris (1 hour by train).
  History, arts, business or drinking are all everyday occupations here. I can tell you about France and its various regions depending on what you'd like to do during your travels. I will gladly show you what I know of the city and introduce a few locals to you.

  Arbeit

  What would help me the most initially is to be pushed to actually go on site and do the work; I procrastinate a lot and need to work more. Getting me to just wake up and go will help.
  
  If you want to do more than just get me out of the house, come along to the building and I would much appreciate your advice and will gladly accept your assisstance in some of the labour.
  There is sanding, stripping, cleaning, painting, varnishing, nailing, screwing... light elbow grease needed. I cannot think of anything heavy that needs to be done, just general DIY.
  
  15 hours a week would be graaand, schedule can be discussed according to your plans too.

  Unterkunft

  Sleeping arrangement would just be on my bed whilst I think of a better idea, I would sleep in the living room on those occasions. I do not live in the building that I am working on, I live 3 kilometres from the historical centre. If you help me refit the basement quickly enough, you are welcome there too. Wi-fi of course.

  Was noch ...

  With spare time here there is lots to do. Cycling here is nice, the Loire river is famous for its castles. Ouh, there are castles in the region if that is your thing. Bars and restaurants are concentrated in "Rue de Bourgogne" where a lot of people go for nights out. Of course there is everything else like cinemas, theatres, clubs etc. Paris is an hour by train.
