  Hello! I am Borislav. Together with my family, I welcome you to our property in Oryahovo on the hills overlooking the Danube River. After living abroad in Italy and England for a total of about 11 years, I decided to return to my hometown. As a professional builder, I have a strong passion for craftsmanship, and currently, we have decided to transform and restore our property. This project requires a lot of time and dedication, so we need volunteers to join us on this creative journey. Our household includes my mother and my brother's family, along with a friendly little dog and a cat. We love meeting travelers from all over the world and sharing our daily lives and stories. Our family environment provides a safe, welcoming, and secure place, especially for solo female travelers.
  Our property also features a large woodworking workshop. If you are interested in the process of working with wood and transforming it into a product, we can spend a day creating something together.

  With over twenty years of experience in construction, I love sharing practical knowledge. You can learn hands-on skills in property restoration, professional painting, and general maintenance. Gardening is also a personal passion of mine; I love taking care of plants and it is another great area where we can exchange experience and knowledge.
  Culturally, you will experience authentic Bulgarian hospitality and home-cooked food in a relaxed, warm family setting. It is a great opportunity for language exchange and to experience a peaceful, traditional rhythm of life right by the Danube River.

  Arbeit

  We need help with light, everyday tasks around the property that take about 4 to 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. The help includes:
  • Garden upkeep like watering plants and light weeding
  •Light DIY projects and painting
  •Cooking and general tidying up
  We prefer volunteers who can stay for at least 3 to 4 weeks so we can share a meaningful exchange.

  Unterkunft

  You will stay in your own detached, independent summer house, completely separate from the main family house. It features a cozy open-plan studio with a combined bedroom and kitchen area, equipped with air conditioning, a refrigerator, and a private toilet and sink. We love sharing family dinners together, and we will also stock your private fridge with basic groceries and water for your independent meals.
