  Come join our team - the best hippie hot springs in the West! We are moving forward now with exciting projects in the fields of Permaculture, Mindfulness, Sustainability, Wabi/Sabi, EcoTourism, Passive and Active Solar Design, Geothermal Energy, Art and Music, and so much more!
  
  Please note that we are not a community and those that come to work for us will need to be self-motivated and be ok with a more solitary lifestyle. While we have many amazing projects, most of the work we need help with isn't as glamorous and is hard work. Digging ditches, cleaning pools and tubs, manual labor, maintenance, housekeeping, animal care, and customer service are all jobs that need to be done on a regular basis.
  
  We offer an hourly wage starting between $10-15, depending on experience. We prefer those with prior experience who can easily take direction and get their hands dirty. While we are willing to train the right person, we are most in need of those with prior experience.
  
  We are a mile high in elevation and get four distinct seasons here. Winters are cold with temperatures well below freezing. Summers are hot and dry with temperatures in the 90s plus. Please be ready for a rustic lifestyle.
  
  Hot springs soaking will be offered on a reservation basis. We host live music throughout the Spring and Summer. We book national touring bands that are masters at their craft. We usually enjoy the genres of jam bands, bluegrass, and psychedelic rock. We have hosted a multitude of festivals, workshops, and classes over the years.

  There is much learning to be had, yet it is offered not in a traditional way, but more as an apprenticeship. Mike and community has much to teach in the ways of resort operations, hot springs relations, film directing, permaculture, design, mindfulness, buying/selling, computer graphics, sound engineering, producing, pioneer cabin restoration, quilting, lampworking, massage therapy, hypnotherapy, and much, much more.
  The Hot Springs is located in the town of Monroe, Utah with a population of about 2,000 people. There is a small market, gas station, fast food restaurant, dollar store, library all within a few blocks. A larger town, Richfield, is located 8 miles away, with many restaurants, a large grocery store, a natural health store, pharmacies, a hospital, and so on.

  Hello!
  We are self-declared as the Best Hippie Hot Springs in the West! The Hot Springs has been owned and operated by Mike for the past 25 years. The Hot Springs is a small resort that features world-class hot springs soaking, overnight lodging including authentic Pioneer Cabins and vintage busses, an R/V park, campground, indoor and outdoor music venues, gardens, over a hundred acres that border national forest and BLM land, ponds, and, Geothermania, an area of the property that is completely run without burning any fossil fuels. Using passive and active solar, along with geothermal energy, these spaces are completely off the grid. We are looking to expand this area to include greenhouses that grow food, flowers, and plants all year and more liveable spaces. Our motto is, "Come to the edge of the wilderness and rediscover why you are alive", and this is has rung true for the hundreds of thousands of visitors that have experienced what The Hot Springs has to offer. We operate under three core principles: Mindfulness, Wabi/Sai, and Permaculture, and they are at the heart of all we do. We intend to continue to build this place to be a beacon of peace and hope, by being a demonstration site for what it is to live in harmony with ourselves, each other, and the earth.
  We have all sorts of projects, jobs, and tasks that utilize a wide range of skills. Some examples include campground host, customer service, guest relations, gardening, animal care, general maintenance, carpentry, building, housekeeping, personal assistant work, food preparation and preservation, design, art of all forms, water maintenance (working with the hot springs channels and soaking areas), security, organizing, general labor, welding, electrical work, solar installation, plumbing, to name a few. Do you have a skill not listed here? We could most likely use that too! We are open to teaching those that have limited experience and skill sets as long as they are open to learning. We are ONLY interested in folks that are ready to work, that are honest, easy to direct, who live a clean life, have integrity, are happy, and are cheerful. We only want people that really want to be here and are there to support the incredible, magical place it is.
  We offer an hourly wage starting between $10-15, depending on experience. We also offer hot springs soaking, all events/concerts, and lodging (described below) to our Work Away guests.

  Unterkunft

  We have a few different options for lodging based on your needs. We have a fully furnished, vintage doublewide trailer called the Terrapin, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, and a full kitchen that would be shared with other workers. We also have a few private, rustic pioneer cabins (no running water), campground sites, and R/V spaces with electricity that utilize a shared common bathhouse with hot water showers, flushing toilets, and sinks.
  You will be responsible for your own meals. Beyond the Terrapin kitchen, we have fire pits and bbq grills for cooking. Occasionally, we may offer community meals and parties.

  With your time off there are many outdoor exploring opportunities within the huge mountains and open space we live amongst. There are interesting historical and geological sites nearby and many state and national parks. There is virtually no nightlife and pretty much everything shuts down on Sundays. There is no public transportation or rental car places, and rideshare apps don't operate here. There are a few private transport companies, but a person really needs their own vehicle to get around reliably and easily. There are occasional local community offerings, but people need to be able to entertain themselves. This is a good spot for people to engage in private interests and that like their own company.
  We expect those that are a part of our community to be respectful, tolerant, mindful, peaceful, and in harmony with themselves and the world at large.
