Hello, we are Laima & Krišjānis.
We offer you to experience life in the countryside, immersed in nature and animal company.
We welcome people on calendar MONTHLY basis (1-30 date), 1-2 persons at a time. We receive many applications, priority given to those who are able to fit within this guideline, as organising gets difficult otherwise 🌿

Farm is situated by our renowned pottery studio and horse farm. In the studio porcelain and stoneware tableware is made that we sell to galleries and restaurants around the world.
Aside from running the pottery studio my big passion is horses. We have 4 horses and we have built for them what’s known as “paddock paradise” track system. They are ca re d for according to “Friends,Forage,Freedom” principle and we do a lot of “enrichment” activities for the horses.
I have been studying with world's leading holistic, heart-centred horse trainers since 2016. It has given me a varied tool-set and understanding to inform my own unique approach to holistic horsemanship.
Our horses are not used for sport or competition, they are family members. We don't offer riding lessons.
We are called to share all that we have discovered and learnt over the years, so you too can feel the connection with nature and be inspired to create your own safe-haven.
Arbeit
Volunteers can help with general homestead tasks, DIY projects and making shared meals.
According to seasons - help also at our family orchard with apples, pears, cherry, plums (just for family consumption, not selling) and a small vegetable garden and greenhouse.
Occasionally we ask help with house-sitting or rather pet-sitting (one of our cats needs epilepsy medication so in case we are away for a few days).

Unterkunft
We provide accommodation in the “loft" in newly renovated 140yo building next to our pottery studio. Loft is a large open space that can be shared amongst up to 2 people. During winter time we offer private bedroom at our family home. There is kitchen for making your own meals, shower and sauna in the adjoining building next to the loft.
If you like cooking you will be able to cook lunches and share with us on a daily basis, otherwise we will only share occasional meals together to foster community spirit.
The whole property is large and consists of 150yo brick 2 story house, 500m2, where we live and host ceramic artists for residencies and courses .
Adjoining this is my parents large industrial agricultural farm where they grow beans, wheat etc.

I lived in a loft together with 5 ceramic apprentices. Even though it's a shared space I felt very comfortable.
