I miss this wonderful family and farm so much! I only had three weeks available to work on the farm, and I so wish I could have stayed longer. I got there right as kidding season started so my days were full with baby goat births, and every single one was such an amazing experience to be a part of. … read more start to finish when the season started, and over 175 babies were born in the time I was there so we sure stayed busy! I spent most of my time there on the farm as that’s exactly where I wanted to be, but the family is super flexible and accommodating for whenever you want to go check out the surrounding towns and take time off– there are a ton of cute towns and fun things to do in the area. I absolutely loved getting to know their kids as well and spending time with them during the day and at dinner – they are so sweet and silly, and we had so many great conversations, questions, and Gummy Bear dance parties in the barn … hey Google! The farm is beautiful, my dog loved playing with their dogs and exploring the woods, and the whole family has so much respect and love for every single one of their goats and other animals and you can see that in everything they do. … read more how to look after the basics, as well as learning how to trim their feet. The goats are so sweet we totally fell in love with them. Many are just about to kid, and sadly we missed that as we had to move on. But we enjoyed our time with them very much and hope to see them all in Oz one day.
