We are a small stud farm based at the foot of Slieve Bloom Mountains which is a beautiful scenic area. We breed and train dressage horses. I have a 12 yr old daughter who loves to ride and be in nature. This position is suitable for somebody who loves nature, animals, vegetarian food and it is essential that you have good experience and an interest in horses.
We also need help with our garden and taking care of our dogs.

This is good opportunity to gain experience in looking after high level dressage horses and learn about the day to day duties in running a farm here in Ireland.
I am looking for somebody to help me with the horses and help my daughter with her ponies. Also to help look after our other animals like chickens and dogs and help in the garden.

Accommodation is two separate three bedroom/bathroom/kitchen/living units beside our home.
We are a short bus ride into Dublin and there are lots of day trips around Ireland from here also.
Dublin has many landmarks and monuments dating back hundreds of years. One of the oldest is Dublin Castle, which was first founded as a major defensive work on the orders of King John of England in 1204, shortly after the Norman invasion of Ireland in 1169, when it was commanded that a castle be built with strong walls and good ditches for the defence of the city.
One of Dublin's newest monuments is the Spire of Dublin, or officially titled "Monument of Light". It is a 121.2 metres (398 ft) conical spire made of stainless steel and is located on O'Connell Street. It replaces Nelson's Pillar and is intended to mark Dublin's place in the 21st century.
Many people visit Trinity College, Dublin to see the Book of Kells in the library there. The Book of Kells is an illustrated manuscript created by Irish monks circa. 800 AD. The Ha'penny Bridge; an old iron footbridge over the River Liffey is one of the most photographed sights in Dublin and is considered to be one of Dublin's most iconic landmarks.
We are located at the foot of the Slieve bloom mountains which have beautiful scenery and forrest walks.
The area is made up of forests, blanket bog of a type unique to Ireland, interspersed with hidden valleys of great character, and interest to the nature lover. The natural colours of the landscape are remarkable in any season. Much of the higher reaches of the mountains have been designated as an Environmentally Protected Area for special preservation as an amenity for generations to come.
It is said that you can see half the counties in Ireland from the top of the Slieve Bloom. Alternatively wander around the foothills of the mountains, visiting the quaint villages, taking your time to stop along the way. These are places where people will take the time to talk to you, where tourists are not so common and where the locals will have a genuine interest in you.
The Mountains are a hill walker’s paradise. The mountains are not so high as to be dangerous, yet are not so low that they can still provide a challenge to every grade of walker. There is a wide choice of looped walks, long distance way-marked walks.
The quiet roads and forestry trails and the range of gentle and challenging slopes of the Slieve Blooms also make the mountains a cyclists paradise.
