  Beschreibung

  We are a family of 5 : 2 adults and three children aged 12, 10 and 5 years old (2 boys and a girl). We'd like to exchange with people from other cultures and give our children a touch of openness to the world.
  We're located in a region within a two-hour drive from Quebec City, renowned for its landscapes and magnificent sunsets over the St. Lawrence River. Lovers of hiking and rejuvenating strolls along the river are in for a treat.
  We are looking for a person to entertain the boys, to make some meals and help a little in the house. A 3 weeks stay would be great but we are open to discussion about the length of the stay.

  Nous sommes une famille de 5 personnes, composée de 2 adultes et de trois enfants âgés de 12, 10 et 5 ans (2 garçons et une fille). Nous aimerions pouvoir échanger avec des personnes d'une autre culture et apporter une touche d'ouverture vers le monde à nos enfants.
  Nous sommes situés dans une région à 2h00 de route de la ville de Québec, reconnue pour ses paysages et ses magnifiques couchers de soleil sur le fleuve Saint-Laurent. Les amateurs de randonnées et de balades ressourçantes sur le bord du fleuve seront servis.
  Nous cherchons une personne pour amuser les garçons, préparer certains repas et donner un petit coup de main à la maison.

  We're French-speaking Québécois, but we're also able to speak and understand English. We and the children (especially the oldest) are curious to learn about another culture and perhaps practice a second language, English. We like to get away from it all and go camping, so the traveler could possibly accompany us on a small trip around the region.

  Nous sommes des québécois parlant français, mais nous sommes également capables de parler et de comprendre l'anglais. Nous et les enfants (surtout le plus vieux) sommes curieux d'en apprendre sur une autre culture et de peut-être pouvoir pratiquer une seconde langue, soit l'anglais. Nous aimons faire des escapades et pratiquer le camping et le voyageur pourrait ainsi possiblement nous accompagner dans un séjour dans la région.

  Arbeit

  We'd like the traveler to look after the children by doing activities with them, and someone who could also take care of some of the meals. As the youngest child will be going to daycare most of the time, however, it will generally be a case of looking after the 12 and 10 year-old boys.

  Nous aimerions que le voyageur s'occupe des enfants en faisant des activités avec eux et puisse également s'occuper partiellement des repas. Comme la plus jeune des enfants ira à la garderie la majorité du temps cependant, généralement, il s'agira d'occuper les garçons de 12 et 10 ans.

  Unterkunft

  We live in a single-family home, and the traveler will have his or her own room. We're located near downtown Rivière-du-Loup, and many places are within walking distance.

  Nous résidons dans une maison unifamiliale et le voyageur aura sa propre chambre. Nous sommes situés près du centre-ville de Rivière-du-Loup et il est possible de se rendre à plusieurs endroits à pied.

  Was noch ...

  Visitor can enjoy mountain and forest walks, visit national parks and take a whale-watching cruise. The town also boasts a number of cultural attractions, including a museum and a manor house.

  Le voyageur pourra notamment faire des randonnées en montage et en forêt, visiter des parc nationaux, faire une croisière pour observer les baleines. La ville dispose également de quelques lieux culturels, tels un musée et un manoir seigneurial.
