  My place is a beautiful rainforest located in Oxapampa, Peru. My house is inside the forest and here I manage a forest conservation and restoration project. I live alone at home, where I rent out a couple of rooms and can assign one to volunteers a few weeks a year . Besides me, there is a lady who comes to work some days a week cleaning the house.
  
  Mi lugar es un hermoso bosque húmedo ubicado en Oxapampa, Perú. Mi casa está dentro del bosque y aquí manejo un proyecto de conservación y recuperación de bosque. Vivo sola en casa, donde alquilo habitaciones. Durante los meses de enero y febrero vienen pocos huéspedes por eso puedo asignar una habitación para alojar voluntarios que deseen trabajar aquí. Además de mí hay una señora que viene a trabajar algunos días de la semana en la limpieza de la casa.

  - My place is a little far from the town so it is not very likely that volunteers can be in contact with many people. However, I can take them to town once a week to buy groceries, see the place and have some social or tourist activity.
  - In addition to the knowledge necessary for the work that the volunteers will carry out, I will share with them knowledge about the fauna and flora of the place, about the importance of conserving and restoring cloud forests, among other things.
  
  - Mi sitio está un poco alejado del pueblo por lo tanto es poco probable que puedan estar en contacto con muchas personas . Sin embargo puedo llevarlos al pueblo una vez por semana a comprar víveres, conocer el lugar y tener alguna actividad social.
  - Además de los conocimientos necesarios para el trabajo que realizarán los voluntarios, compartiré con ellos conocimientos sobre la fauna y flora del lugar, sobre la importancia de conservar y restaurar los bosques de neblinas, entre otras cosas.

  Arbeit

  There is more than one job possibility:
  - Cleaning and maintenance of the trails and the forest restoration area. That work is mainly to fertilize, cut branches and brush.
  - Construction of a compost bin.
  - Work in the garden and agricultural area.
  - Cleaning and maintenance of some wooden doors and walls.
  
  It would be ideal for workawayers to be familiar with these jobs but it is not essential. Here we will teach them what is necessary.
  
  Hay más de una posibilidad de trabajo:
  - Limpieza y mantenimiento de los senderos y la zona de restauración del bosque. Ese trabajo consiste sobre todo en cortar ramas y maleza, abonar.
  - Construcción de una compostera.
  - Trabajo en el huerto y la zona agrícola.
  - Limpieza y mantenimiento de algunas puertas y paredes de madera.
  
  Sería ideal que los workawayers estén familiarizados con esos trabajos pero no es indispensable. Aquí les enseñaremos lo que haga falta.

  Unterkunft

  My house has the basic services necessary to have a very comfortable stay, in addition to having an incredible view of the forest. We get electricity from solar energy, water from our own spring. We have wifi but no cell phone signal.
  For the workawayers there is a bedroom with 3 beds with sheets, private bathroom and terrace. They also have access to the other rooms of the house (kitchen, living room, dining room, terraces, bonfire, etc.)
  As for food, this is the responsibility of the volunteers. They must buy and prepare their food. For that we have a large kitchen at home with all the necessary implements.
  
  Mi casa tiene los servicios básicos necesarios para tener una estadía muy cómoda, además de tener una increíble vista del bosque. Obtenemos electricidad con energía solar, agua de nuestro propio manantial. Tenemos wifi pero no señal de celular.
  Para los workawayers hay un dormitorio con 3 camas con sábanas, baño privado y terraza. Además tienen acceso a los demás ambientes de la casa (cocina, sala, comedor, terrazas, mirador, fogata, etc.)
  En cuanto a la alimentación, esta corre por cuenta de los voluntarios. Ellos deben comprar y preparar sus alimentos. Para eso tenemos en casa una cocina amplia con todos los implementos necesarios.

  - In their free time workawayers can walk around, walk in the forest, go on bird watching walks, visit a nearby river, go on bike rides. One day a week I can take them to town for a few hours. It is also possible that they hire a tour if they want to visit touristic places.
  - It is important to notice that this is a place of nature where we lead a quiet life and respect the environment. There are wild animals in the surroundings and we strive to take care of their tranquility. For that reason we avoid making loud noises, especially at night.
  
  - En su tiempo libre pueden pasear por los alrededores, caminar en el bosque, hacer caminatas de avistamiento de aves, visitar un río cercano, hacer paseos en bicicleta. Un día de la semana puedo llevarlos al pueblo por algunas horas. También es posible que contraten una empresa si quieren conocer lugares turísticos.
  - Es importante tomar en cuenta que este es un lugar de naturaleza donde llevamos una vida tranquila y respetuosa del entorno. Hay animales silvestres en los alrededores y nos esforzamos por cuidar su tranquilidad. Por esa razón evitamos hacer ruidos fuertes en especial durante las noches.
