What a weird couple of years I have missed hosting workways, and I'm looking forward to meeting some new people as well as getting some much needed help on the farm.
There is just me right now (even the dogs are on holiday!) on the lifestyle property (10 acres) in Bombay about 45 minutes from Downtown Auckland (by car). I am 5 minutes from the Southern Motorway, so easy access to head south or to Coromandel.
The Bombay Hills are the bridge between Auckland and Waikato, the farm is on the Auckland side.
Your own transport would be handy, but I can drop you to the train station which is about 10 minutes away in Pukekohe.
I run my business from home as well as working on the farm. At the moment we have ten cattle (eighteen months old) and with the spring/summer season nearly upon us, there is a lot to do to ensure the 'boys' are kept happy. There is always plenty to do and we have a few projects that we would like to get completed over the summer months.
It isn't all work though, we also make sure there is time to relax, and soak up the peace and tranquility that a rural property has to offer.
We are a non-smoking house, so no smokers please.Arten von Hilfe und Lernmöglichkeiten

Enjoy great kiwi hospitality while experiencing the kiwi lifestyle. We have traveled extensively in New Zealand so have a good knowledge of the country. We love pulling out the maps of NZ and pointing out our favourite places and helping you plan your trip if you would like us to.
In our spare time we love to head out and explore some of the amazing walking and cycling tracks that are close to home.
We have friends and family in different regions of the North Island who we visit and we are sure would love to have you visit so they can showcase their little piece of paradise.Projekte mit Kindern

Arbeit
There is always plenty to do on a large property, general maintenance includes things like: weeding, moving lawns, planting, digging, watering, using weed eater, spraying weeds pruning, fertilizing (we use organic), etc.
Helping out with daily household tasks, such as preparing meals/cooking, doing dishes after meals, tidying, cleaning, hanging up washing and all the other day to day things that go on in a home are also what I would like your help with.
I have a number of summer projects which include repairing fences, tidying up the gardens, repairing the stock yards, tree planting for shelter for the cattle and we also need to plant areas that have slipped during the heavy rains over winter.
To mix in well with me I think you are a couple who are outgoing, love animals and who enjoys the outdoors. You need to be self motivated and able to work without too much supervision once we show you what needs to be done. You get on with things and get them done!
If this sounds like what you, we'd love to hear from you!Gesprochene Sprachen

Unterkunft
We have a large house for just the two of us. Your room is big, there is a queen bed and your own bathroom (not ensuite). You can close off your part of the house and have complete privacy, when you want it.
We have two living rooms, one of them is a real suntrap in the summer and has a window seat which is a lovely spot to curl up with a book. There is also a piano in that room should that be one of your skills.
We are foodies, and we love to cook. We make our own bread, muesli, ice cream and there is always home baking in the pantry. If you want to share your culinary skills with us we would love that. If you are a complete amateur we are happy to teach you.
Breakfast and lunch would be self service, dinner we would share together. We cook on the BBQ and eat outside as much as often as we can, we also enjoy a glass of NZ wine with dinner some nights. Was noch ...
Unfortunately there are no buses that will bring you directly to us.
If you don't have transport we do go into Pukekohe most days so we can drop you (and pick you up) at the train station where you can catch the train into Auckland city (1 1/4hrs), from there you can go any direction you want to.
There is plenty to explore in the Auckland region, beaches, bushwalks, mountain biking, museums, cafes etc etc.
If you want to go further afield (Rotorua for example) most bus companies stop at Bombay so we can drop you there.
If you have any particular interests just let us know and we can do our best to help you out.Etwas mehr Information

Not only did they work incredibly hard, they were intuitive about what and how to get things done, even in tasks that were new to them. This meant we were able to leave them to it, and focus on what we needed to do ourselves.

We spend our first two weeks in New Zealand with Lynda and Simon and really enjoyed it. They both made us feel like family members and shared their everyday life with us.
Lynda spoiled us with delicious food and also the dogs were so lovely :-)
