  Hello :) we run a Kindergarten and Courses, and a variety of community engagement activities in Belopa Luwu, Sulawesi, Indonesia.
  
  The programs that need Volunteer to help are mentioned below:
  
  1. Kindergarten English learning stimulation and playing activities
  2. English Class for beginner level
  3. English Conversation Class
  4. Literacy in Public Discussion
  5. Environmental Care Campaign
  6. Parenting Class for the Parents in school and the community
  7. 3 days teaching the children on the mountain of remote areas with the volunteers of KeRen (Kemah Relawan Pendidikan) which I initiated to encourage the children in the remote areas about the importance of education for a better future.
  etc.
  
  We need volunteers to help teach English and other inspirational activities to our 60 kindergarten students. We also ask for your help in teaching a group of registered people from the local community (around 30 are registered) that we run 4 days per week. This group includes Children, Teenagers, High School Students, and Parents.
  
  Depending on your skills and preferences, we ask you to assist/lead a selection of these classes. Also, if you have particular expertise (teacher, social worker, psychologist, environmentalist, etc.) then we would love to learn from you. We can create together lesson plans based topics on topics on which you are knowledgeable and if you are willing to, we would love for you to lead or assist a public discussion group with adult community members and or with the student community.
  
  In addition to teaching, we also run some charity programs, which aim to help those within the local community who are living in poverty, especially disadvantaged children and elderly people. We help these disadvantaged members of the community to access health care and fulfill their primary needs, such as building homes and obtaining food, among other things. Together we'll bring.
  
  Volunteers will be completely immersed in our local culture and will therefore learn a great deal about the social culture of the area (a small village/town). You will be living alongside and interacting with the local adults and children in the village and will have opportunities to take part in activities, such as playing sports with the local people or enjoying swimming in the river, climbing mango or rambutan trees, etc.
  
  On the weekend, we will spend our time visiting nearby spots of natural importance/beauty and attending local cultural events like traditional wedding ceremonies, going to the sea surrounding Belopa, to the river, hiking, or visiting other towns such as the infamous Toraja, Latimojong, and Bastem where you can further explore the culture and natural environment.
  
  We provide our volunteers with meals 3 times a day, which we can adapt depending on your preference (and its availability), including breakfast (cakes, egg, bread, fruits, tea or coffee), lunch (local food: rice, vegetable, fish/chicken, tofu/tempe/egg), and dinner (gado-gado, fruit, rice or other vegetables). We would be very happy if we could cook and prepare the meals together to create meals that everybody enjoys and eat together as a family. For your information as a vegetarian; it's perfect, because it's easy to find vegetables since we have our garden which is also possible to give hands in planting the vegetables together. The kitchen located outside of the building, is open 24 hours to enjoy cooking together.
  
  It's so important to note that would be so much happiness for us if we could meet the open-minded and respectful volunteers of our local culture and local values. With all due respect, I highly appreciate it if you could adapt to our dress culture therefore ask that you please wear T-Shirt, a long skirt or long pants around the school and if we are going out to attend a special occasion. On that note, I am so open to discussing this from Luwu's cultural perspective. We will be so thankful for your understanding and hope we can work together no matter which background you are from, and can easily understand each other as human beings.
  
  A further note is that we would prefer female workawayers, but are open to hosting men and/or a family as well. We are also open to discussing the things you like or dislike in order to avoid any potential misunderstandings between us since we do hope the volunteer is not only a guest but beyond that a part of the school.
  
  We particularly hope that we can find a volunteer with a psychology, Education, and/or woman social activist background who would feel capable and comfortable to help create and be a speaker for the parenting and education seminar.
  
  One final note is that our home/school in Belopa (where you will be based) is quite far from the province. It takes around 6-7 hours to reach Belopa from Makassar Ujung Pandang International Airport by Bus. The bus is very modern and comfortable, we will be there to meet and assist you when you arrive in Belopa. We hope this information will be useful for consideration.
  
  Fyi. I and the community have initiated a program of teaching in the remote schools in the mountains of Bastem & Latimojong Luwu. From Belopa (Our School), we need about 4-6 hours to reach that place by Jeep. Need to inform you that the road to go there is so bumpy and challenging. We teach the students for a short time around 2-3 days staying.

  Our volunteers will learn about our culture and way of life in Belopa, Sulawesi in Indonesia. They will live with me and my family in our village, and will be warmly welcomed into our community. We hope they will also learn some life lessons or wisdom from the hard life of the poor people whom we helpeld.

  We need volunteers to teach English in our English Classes. We are looking for open minded and kind volunteers who are interested in sharing knowledge and stories. We would love to learn about your culture and teach you about our culture as well. Our volunteers can also help with the charity programs that we run to support the disadvantaged members of our community.

  Unterkunft

  We provide accommodation, kitchen and bathroom access for all of our volunteers. We also provide:
  
  1). Pick-up Transportation (car and bus) from Bua Airport to Belopa, and from Belopa to Bua Airport. If you have a bag over 10kg you can take the bus from Makassar, and we will pick you up in the drop off point of Belopa
  2). Room (including bed, pillow, fan, saroong, and cupboard)
  Female volunteers will stay in an air conditioned room inside the house, while male volunteers stay in a fanned room attached to the outside of the house.
  3). Meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) 3 times every day + snacks+coffee/tea.
  4). Transportation to local nature tourism sites
  5). Transportation to charity projects
  6). Clean drinking water
  7). Internet hotspot

  We really need interesting, open-minded and honest volunteers.
  
  We also run charity initiatives, where we help poor and sick kids and their families. We help them get health care access and obtain their primary needs such as food and shelter.
  
  We'll visit some local nature-tourism sites in the weekend, such as the town of Toraja and Sarasa Waterfall.
  
  On our time off we also do some environmental action activities such as: waste recycling, reusing/upcycling, and a trash cleaning project. We will also spend our time together in the trendy local cafes, or playing card games while discussing a variety of interesting topics.
