We are a small and dynamic community that got together to live in a natural oasis, where we choose to live in harmony and peace with nature.
We relate with conscience and love to everything that surrounds us.
We dream and create this space everyday, working the land to produce our own food.
Recicling and reutilizing materials, and also using natural ones, we build and make our projects come true.
Pure water and clean air, no pollution, with an incredibly open sky to contemplate sunsets, the moon and the stars, this is our setting to disconnect from modern day life, noise, abuse of information and mass media, and to reconnect our roots with nature, living free as human beings used to do.
Anyone who wants to add energy to this beautiful land, feel free to contact us.

The main goal is to learn how to live in nature without destroying it, and detaching from modern life habits that harm ourselves.
Also learn about bioconstruction, reciclyng, how to farm, grow your own food and use the resurces that nature gifts us.
You can improve your Spanish with us and also meeting the local neighbors while getting to see how they've lived traditionally for generations.
But most of all this is a space to meet yourself, the free spirit who can play, learn and experience everything in this beautiful playground.

Lo principal es aprender a vivir en la naturaleza sin dañarla y desprenderse de los hábitos de vida modernos que nos dañan a nosotros mismos.
También aprender sobre bioconstrucción, reciclaje, como trabajar la tierra para cosechar tus propios alimentos y también a utilizar lo que la naturaleza nos regala.
Puedes mejorar tu español con nosotros y visitando a nuestros vecinos, viendo como han vivido tradicionalmente por generaciones.
Pero sobre todo es un espacio para encontrarse con uno mismo, ese espíritu libre que puede jugar, aprender y experimentar todo en este hermoso jardín.

We are looking for:
• Volunteers with EXPERIENCE in FARMING:
With knowledge and practice that allows them to work by themselves.
• Volunteers with EXPERIENCE in CONSTRUCTION:
To help with the setup of a geodesic dome, working with wood, waterproofing and painting, cob construction, etc.
Also for the construction and setup of a dry toilet.
NORMALLY WE WORK IN:
* Farming and tree planting
* Bioconstruction
* Implementing water systems and irrigation methods
* Creation of an Edible Forest
* Fruit picking, drying and processing (Figs, Peaches, Walnuts and Quinces)
* Jam production of local fruits (Carob, Chañar, Piquillín)
* Local herbs picking and drying to produce natural medicines
We don't work by the clock here, but a minimum of 15hs/week is spected for the exchange. If 25hs/week are needed (depending on the season, how many people we are, weather conditions and how much work is needed), full board will be offered.

Que tengan conocimientos y práctica previa que les permita trabajar por su propia cuenta.
• Voluntarios con EXPERIENCIA en CONSTRUCCIÓN:
Que puedan aportar en el armado de un domo geodésico, trabajos en madera, impermeabilización, pintura, construcción de barro sobre piedra, etc.
También para la construcción y armado de un baño seco.
NORMALMENTE TRABAJAMOS EN:
* Huerta y desarrollo de árboles frutales
* Bioconstrucción
* Implementación del sistema de agua y métodos de irrigación
* Creación de un Bosque Comestible
* Recolección, disecado y procesado de frutas (Higos, Duraznos, Membrillos, Nueces)
* Producción de dulces locales (Algarroba, Chañar, Piquillín)
* Recolección y secado de hiervas medicinales autóctonas
* Producción de medicinas naturales
Aquí no nos manejamos con reloj, pero esperamos por lo menos 15hs/semana de intercambio. De ser necesario 25hs/semana (según la estación del año, cuantas personas seamos, el clima y cuanto trabajo haya), se ofrecerá alimentación completa.

Unterkunft
The place is isolated and wild, with few comforts, surrounded by thousands of hectares of native forest and animals, so you have to be a nature lover to really fit in your time here.
There's a big communal kitchen and different shelters to use, all of them built by bioconstruction and recicled materials. You can hang your hammock, pitch your tent or you can just camp anywhere you like, we have some tents to lend in case you want to.
As we are not running a business or make any money with what we do here, we are in need to ask visitors and volunteers to help with the food costs.
We provide big part of the food supplies that we buy in advance in bulk and that are not available to buy in the towns around nor in the supply truck that comes to the place once a week.
Also things we grow in the farms, as well us native plants and fruits we collect, dry, and process from the land.
This way we can provide food that is much more healthy, ecological and cheap that any we can get around here, achieving a much better nutrition for everybody, which is part of our vision of a healthy lifestyle we promote and share in this experience we offer.
Although anyone can choose to bring their own food or buy it around and we won't ask for any extra contribution.

El lugar es aislado y agreste, con pocas comodidades y rodeados de miles de hectáreas de flora y fauna autóctona, por lo que deberías considerarte un amante de la naturaleza para disfrutar tu tiempo aquí.
Contamos con una cocina comunitaria grande y refugios realizados en bioconstrucción y materiales reciclados para utilizar, colgar tu hamaca o poner la carpa, o también se puede acampar bajo los árboles en el lugar que más les guste, tenemos carpas para prestar si es lo que prefieren.
Cómo no producimos dinero con nuestras actividades y forma de vida, nos vemos en la necesidad de pedir a los visitantes y voluntarios una ayuda con los gastos de la comida.
Nosotros proveemos gran parte de los alimentos que compramos a granel previamente, y que no pueden conseguirse en los pueblos cercanos o en el camión de abastecimiento que llega 1 vez por semana hasta el lugar.
También brindamos alimentos que crecen en nuestras huertas, así como frutos y plantas locales que cosechamos, secamos y procesamos.
De esta manera podemos ofrecer una alimentación mucho mejor, mas ecológica y barata, consiguiendo una mejor nutrición para todos. Esto forma parte de nuestra visión de una vida sana, que promovemos y compartimos en esta experiencia que ofrecemos.
Aún así, si lo prefieren, también se puede traer su propia comida, y no pediremos otra contribución.

It's been 2 years since our first volunteer came from Workaway, and we couldn't be more happy with the results!
Over 80 volunteers came from different exchange platforms and places around the world, and we wouldn't be what we are today without their help.
We want to thank everyone and invite you to be part of this ongoing project of an alternate way of living, loving and being part of nature, growing as a world family, in peace.

In your time off you could visit the nearby towns, some are small rural towns, others are more touristic.
You can try local foods and people is very talkative and supportive, but mostly Spanish is spoken.
You can hike the old and inactive Yerba Buena volcano and meet our other awesome neighbors, the condors, they are the biggest birds! There are also other peaks in the surrounding area.
In spring, summer and early autumn you can go to the river nearby and refresh in natural rock pools.
There are also Natural Reserves around, the new Traslasierra National Park, Los Gigantes mountains, the Tunnels of Pocho, rivers, waterfalls and many other touristic and natural places.

Hace 2 años recibimos al primer voluntario de Workaway y no podemos estar más felices con los resultados!
Más de 80 voluntarios llegaron desde diferentes plataformas de intercambio y lugares alrededor del mundo, y no seríamos lo que somos hoy sin su ayuda.
Queremos agradecerles a todos e invitarlos a ser parte del desarrollo de este proyecto de vida alternativa, amando y siendo parte de la naturaleza, creciendo como una familia mundial, en paz.

En tu tiempo libre puedes visitar los pueblos cercanos, algunos pequeños y rurales, otros más turísticos.
Allí podrás probar la comida local y conocer gente muy amigable y con ganas de conocer nuevas personas.
Puedes subir al antiguo y extinto volcán Yerba Buena y conocer de cerca a nuestros otros increíbles vecinos, los cóndores, las aves más grandes!
También hay otros cerros para subir en el área.
En primavera, verano y principios de otoño se puede visitar el río cercano y bañarse en piletas naturales de piedra.
En la zona también hay Reservas Naturales, el Parque Nacional Traslasierra, los cerros de Los Gigantes, los Tuneles de Pocho, ríos, cascadas y muchos otros atractivos turísticos y naturales.
