  Beschreibung

  I live in stunning French Polynesia, on the beautiful island of Huahine (a great island where a lot of people love to stay)
  I have a nice house here that I already renovated a lot, but I could still need some help for some maintenance that could improve the house.
  If you are a good handyman (handywoman ;o) ), and especially if you have some experience in home renovation / home staging (woodcraft or furniture building, plumbing, walls painting, ...) don't hesitate to contact me to see if we can "deal" together ;o)
  I could also be happy to host you if you have abilities with plants/gardening :-)
  
  You'll have your own room in my house that is perfectly located, ie downtown (ie very close to the shops, rental places, restaurants, food trucks, ...) and very close to the white sand public beach in Huahine, yet in a very quiet neighbourhood.
  My house is 3-400m from the dock of the ferries.
  
  Please contact me only if already or soon in FPolynesia because I won't be able to accept you long in advance since I rarely know my schedule ahead !

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  In exchange of your help, you'll be hosted downtown in Fare, Huahine, in a very nice and quiet neighbourhood, and in a very great location, from where you'll be able to walk to most of the interesting places, like the yacht club where you can enjoy very nice HH while admiring stunning sunsets :-)
  
  For the other places that you want to visit, you can either hitch-hike (it works well on the island) or rent a scooter or a car.
  
  I can provide you with many tips about where to go and what to do during you stay in Huahine (I made a guide to help you discover "my" beautiful island)
  
  I'm always very happy to meet new people, but depending on my schedule, know that I'll have more or less time to share with you, either to work with you in the house or to chat with you and/or share with you an activity or my experience of French Polynesia.

  Arbeit

  Your help is welcome for some maintenance and renovation in my little house in Huahine, and/or for some gardening as well.
  There are many tasks to choose from like :
  - some painting (on the ceiling of a 35m2 room, the wall of my garden shelter, on a few shelves, on my patio's floor, ...),
  - a bit of plumbing if you know how to do it,
  - rebuilding some kitchen furnitures and/or build some shelves / a bed headboard / or so,
  - a bit of gardening (like to cut the lawn and remove the "bad" plants from the garden, cut a few branches on my beautiful mangoo tree, plant some seeds,...),
  - put a few things on the walls (frames, curtain rods, ...)
  - repair a few bikes
  - do a bit of maintenance on my van (there are a few leeks on it's roof and windows for example)
  - ...
  If you're a good and serious handyman, or even a cabinetmaker, a plumber, a wall painter, a gardener, you're very welcome :-)
  NB : I don't look for professionnals to come as workawayers, I'm very happy to host non professionnal but motivated cleaned and skilled workawayers. What I don't want is to have to "struggle" teaching the people that are supposed to be here to help me, or to have to fix things after them because they didn't know how to do things and damaged my belonging),
  So if you "like" to do things but you don't really know how to do them and don't have real "skills" or experience or "knowledge" in maintenance, then sorry but I prefer to do the job myself! ;o)
  
  I like to have "clean" people, ie workawayers that work clean and help me clean the house during their stay as if we where housemates. I don't like to have to clean after people's meal, showers, toilets, stay, work, ... we shall all be responsible and repsectful.
  
  If you think you can be the right person to help me in my house, then I'll be very glad to meet and host you :-)))

  Unterkunft

  The accomodation is a pretty room in my cute house with a nice garden, that is near everything (a beautiful public white sand beach, shops, Huahine's street Market, restaurants, food trucks, the best happy hour of French Polynesia, ....,).
  My house is 3-400m from the dock of the ferries.
  I'll also offer you the "local type" food for the breakfast and one meal /day, either the lunch or the dinner (we'll decide which one together), that I 'll might let you most of the time cook the way (and at the time) you like it, because I have a special diet.

  During your time off, you can :
  - walk in the village of Fare, visit it's shops, it's white sand beach, do some snorkeling, visit the fruit alcohol factory, or the shell museum, or an art gallery, have a drink or a meal in one of our nice foodtrucks or restaurants, go scuba diving with our diving center, ...
  - or hitch hike or rent a car/ a scooter/ a bicycle to go further in the island, go to some very nice beaches, do fantastic snorkelings, visit some great "marae" (archaeological sites) to the beach, go on a guided excursion around the island and/or on the lagoon, discover a traditionnal meal cooked in a Tahitian oven, ...
