  We are Mario and Melissa, and over the years we have been creating a place where nature, sustainability, creativity, practical skills and people from different backgrounds come together.
  
  Our homestead is powered by solar energy, uses its own water supply, and is home to a variety of animals, gardens, fruit trees, aquaponics and ongoing creative projects.
  
  We believe that sustainable living is not about having everything perfectly organised. It's about learning, experimenting, adapting, sharing knowledge and finding practical solutions together.
  
  What can you experience here?
  
  Depending on the season and our current projects, you can get involved in:
  
  - Organic gardening, growing food and caring for fruit trees
  - Aquaponics, irrigation, composting and soil improvement
  - Natural building, cob work, carpentry and creative DIY

  Cyprus has a complex history and a culture shaped by Greek, Turkish, Middle Eastern, and Mediterranean influences. We are happy to share what we know about the island, while also learning from the experiences and perspectives of our guests.

  This is an off-grid homestead located in the mountainous countryside near Kornos, Cyprus. The setting is peaceful, natural, and rural, but it is important to understand that this is simple homestead accommodation rather than a hotel or hostel.
  
  Volunteers are currently accommodated in tents or small single-person A-frame cabins, or a shared Dome that can sleep up to 6 people. These provide a private or shared sleeping space while allowing you to experience outdoor living and the Cyprus climate. Accommodation may vary depending on availability, the season, and the number of volunteers staying with us.
  
  You should be comfortable with basic off-grid living, changing weather, insects, animals, and the normal sounds of the countryside. Cyprus can be very hot during the summer and colder than many visitors expect during winter nights, so suitable clothing and sleeping equipment are important.
  
  Volunteers have access to shared communal areas, including the kitchen and other agreed facilities. Everyone is expected to keep their sleeping area and the shared spaces clean and tidy.
  
  For food, volunteers can prepare their own breakfast and lunch using the communal kitchen. In the evening, we usually share a family-style dinner together. These meals are an important part of life here and give everyone a chance to relax, talk, and spend time together after the day’s work.
