We are a busy family of five, living on a lifestyle block at the base of Mt Pirongia. My husband and I both manage mental health teams and our boys (15, 14 and 12) all love the outdoors, motorbike and horse riding, swimming, basketball and rugby. With sheep and beef cows, ducks and chickens, dogs, cats and fish we are usually pretty busy

we are a busy family of 5, used to hosting Japanese high school students. As a family we love to share our home and lifestyle block, based at the base of Mt Pirongia and our farm boundary is the waipa river. We have a large family network and spend time with them in other parts of NZ.
Arbeit
We own a lifestyle block of 25 acres with cows, calves, sheep, chickens and ducks, dogs cats and fish. We would love some help with fence maintenance and painting, weed control etc. We have a large yard that requires gardening maintenance. We have installed a pool so will need landscaping assistance with planting etc. As we both work away from home with our jobs you may need to work on projects on your own, but there may be some days we are around to work with you. we would also appreciate cooking occasionally if you’re comfortable to do that. engaging in activities with our children at home like basketball🏀 and volleyball. help inside our home can include spring cleaning, and general housework

we have a 7 bedroom house - we use 4 bedrooms so have 3 options for couples, bunks and king single's side by side. We have a family meal every night including meat and vegetables. Happy to negotiate food access/requirements etc

We are at the base of Mt Pirongia which offers excellent mountain bike and trail runs. We are located 30 minutes from Hamilton. The Pirongia village has 1 cafe petrol station, fantastic 4 square and brilliant bakery. Te Awamutu is 10 minutes away and has supermarkets and shops, bus links to Hamilton and around NZ

I stayed with this amazing family for a week and it did feel like 3 days.
I helped around the house and in the garden, got utterly destroyed in Basketball and Tabletennis (at least not in chess) and after some hectic weeks I could relax a bit.

The boys invited us to play basketball and go on bike rides with them which was all great fun!
We were also welcome and encouraged to make use of their fantastic pool and hot tub which were lovely on a hot day.

The place offered a variety of different jobs, which made everyday a bit different- I really enjoyed looking after and learning about all the animals 🐾🐑
I would definitely recommend staying here☺️
