My farm is perched above the River Severn on its own hill between Gloucester and Tewkesbury, Cheltenham and Malvern.
I am running a small exclusive campsite and a collection of luxury bell tents as well as a software business and Happerley, my food provenance passion. If you love gardening, cooking or looking after people we would love to hear from you. We offer, in return for your help, your own self catered accommodation with food included.

Our ethos is very much based around sustainability and looking after the countryside and we pride ourselves on the relaxing environment the farm and campsite offers.
The neighbouring Farmers Arms Pub is two field's walk from our site. A ten minute walk is the village's riverside Coal House Inn. The River is strewn with other riverside pubs.

We are seeking, preferably, a couple to help with the running of the campsite and the gardens.
We have a tidy one double bedroom static caravan equipped with gas heating and cooking, a shower room and WIFI, for sole use of the individual couple. There are always vehicles available to use. This will provide you independence.
I am a friendly gentleman with an open house policy and a strong network of friends and contacts in the locality and the region to help guests gain the very most from their stay. Don't think we are remote: there is a great social life in Cheltenham just 15 minutes away, a spa town famous for its bars, restaurants, Literature and Jazz Festivals and of course its horse racing.
THE PERFECT TOURING BASE
My farm is ideally located to explore the heart of England. It is easily accessible from the M5 between Birmingham and Bristol, and is one stop from Wales.
Enjoy the Severn Way, Coombe Hill Canal Nature Reserve, and the lush green hams of the Severn Vale.
Coombe Hill Canal and Meadows
This ancient landscape fringing the Severn, overlooked by Willow Hill, is an SSSI and a place of vistas and endless skies, of floods and farming. It is a very special site for wetland birds, particularly waders and migrating waterfowl but also birds of prey, including Hen Harrier, Peregrine Falcon and Goshawk. Equally appealing on a frost-bitten winter morning or a glorious summer day, Coombe Hill is an ideal place to revel in the peaceful serenity of the countryside; bring binoculars to bird watch, or simple enjoy the wildlife and scenery on offer.
This is a 210 mile route which follows the route of the River Severn, England's second longest river, from source to sea. Willow Hill sits between and over the Tewkesbury to Gloucester stretch, above the floodplain comprising a tranquil landscape of orchard and water meadow.
At our sister village, Deerhurst, two remarkable buildings stand just back from the Severn. Odda's Chapel, for centuries in domestic use, was only recognised just over 100 years ago for what it is - one of the most complete and beautiful Saxon chapels in Britain, with a perfect keyhole chancel arch. Just down the lane stands an even older structure: the tall Saxon minster church of St Mary with herringbone walls and arrow-shaped internal windows.
LOCAL HISTORIAL TOWNS & CITIES
Tewkesbury is an easy four mile Severn Way river walk. Many of Tewkesbury's historic medieval buildings have survived, making it one of the finest medieval streetscapes in England. Tewkesbury Abbey, built in the early 12th century, dominates the town and in 1471 the fields to the south saw the penultimate and decisive battle in the Wars of the Roses leading the house of York to power. Narrow alleyways or "courts" run throughout the Town, giving it a unique character.
Gloucester is a 20 minute drive or a six mile Severn Way river walk. Strategically positioned on the River Severn and close to the Welsh border, the city of Gloucester has a rich historic past stretching back to Roman times. You will find a wealth of things to do in Gloucester. At it's heart in the beautiful setting of College Green, stands the Norman cathedral with its magnificent fan-vaulted cloisters and great east window. A walk down narrow cobbled streets and past ancient buildings leads into the main pedestrianised shopping area. From there it is just a short stroll to the dramatic waterfront of the Victorian Docks with it's impressive converted warehouses. You will be greeted by a colourful tableau of life on the water and all kinds of vessels, from narrow boats to sea going ships. There are also pleasure boats to take you on a journey through the past when Gloucester was a thriving commercial port.
Cheltenham is a 15 minute drive away at the foot of the Cotswolds. It was specifically designed in its 18th and 19th century heyday as a pleasure health resort for wealthy visitors, the legacy of which is an exceptional range of quality restaurants and entertainment in an elegant Regency spa town. Relax in its award-winning gardens, enjoy its impressive range of stylish shops and dining, and spend some time at one of its many fantastic cultural festivals and events - from horse racing, music and literature to family fiestas.
Malvern and The Malvern Hills, in the heart of Elgar Country, are 20 minutes across the River and are very popular with walkers. The Malvern Hills Act 1884 gave the land under the jurisdiction of the Malvern Hills Conservators as open access on foot for all time. Because you can walk anywhere there are not the usual regiment of signs and waymarks. The Victorians gave us many of the constructed paths that make walking the Malvern Hills such a delight.
