  Hello dear Workawayers,
  
  We are a small family consisting of two men, a friendly dog, four curious parrots, and many pond fish, living on a large, idyllic forest property in the nature reserve of the Lüneburg Heath.
  
  Our home is nestled in the woods, near a small village, about a 35-minute drive from the vibrant city of Hamburg. From our village, you can reach the nearest small town by bike in about 20 minutes. There you’ll find shops, cafés, restaurants, and a train station with connections to both Hamburg and Lüneburg.
  
  We work a lot during the week: Florian runs a real estate business from our home, and Gerrit commutes to Hamburg. We would really appreciate your help with small projects around the house, the property, and caring for our animals.
  
  What we offer you:
  
  You’ll have your own cozy guest area with a private bathroom, a bedroom with TV, Playstation, and internet access, as well as a kitchen where you can prepare your own breakfast (we will provide the groceries, of course).
  
  We also have a fitness room with a rowing machine, multi-gym, weights, and a treadmill – feel free to use it anytime. And there’s a bicycle available for your use to explore the surroundings.
  
  Since we’re often working or on the go during the week, you’ll have plenty of time for yourself – to relax, explore the area, or work on your own things.
  
  Where you can help – based on your interests and skills:
  
  Feeding and caring for our parrots
  Taking our dog for walks
  Gardening (e.g., creating vegetable beds, weeding, mowing the lawn)
  Helping in the household
  All tasks are flexible and can be individually discussed according to your abilities and preferences. We're also very flexible with time: if you prefer to have more free time during the week and help with projects together on the weekend, that works great for us. Florian is very skilled with hands-on work and is happy to show and teach you new things while working together.
