Beschreibung
We are a nonprofit dog rescue in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, founded by myself (Barbara) and my daughter (Lisa). We rescue and rehabilitate dogs, from sometimes very abusive situations, abandoned or surrendered dogs. Our aim is to provide them with a safe place at our shelter whilst we find them a forever home. At the shelter, we get to know all of our dogs and provide them with good food, training, exercise, and most importantly love. Some of our dogs will be with us for the rest of their lives, we like to make them feel part of a family. It is really important that you love dogs and that you are not afraid to get dirty, very dirty.
Our team is small, and the work is hard, We need team players, and motivated people, who will take initiative, but also listen to safety advice. The reward is huge knowing that what we are doing is making the lives of these dogs so much better. And to see them go to their new homes and family is a reward like no other.
We are looking for people that want to do something special and worthwhile.
The shelter is just outside of Puerto Vallarta near a small town called Ixtapa, it is a very rural setting.
Puerto Vallarta itself is nearby and easy to get to either by car, bus or taxi.
We came to Mexico from England in 2018, and my husband (Alun) and son (Marc) set up a scuba Diving business. I was coming to drink margaritas and enjoy the sun, but it very soon became apparent that this was not on the agenda for myself and Lisa when we kept coming across dogs needing help, so our course soon changed, when we reached 40 dogs in our home we realized that we needed a bigger space, which is when we opened our shelter.
Coming to help us you would have the vibrant town of Puerto Vallarta nearby and the peace and tranquility of the rural setting of the shelter (when the dogs are quiet).
We love what we do and would love for you to experience it to.Arten von Hilfe und Lernmöglichkeiten

Puerto Vallarta is a beautiful beach town, with amazing weather all year round and offers all water activities. There are lots of local attractions such as Canopy tours, and Botanical gardens.
Surrounded by the Sierra Madre mountains.
Great Mexican food, and vibrant nightlife. The Malecon is in the center of everything and a lovely place to take a walk, especially in the evening.Etwas mehr Information
