House & pets sitting & week-end teenage sitting in South West France

  Beschreibung

  Hello, we are Marie and Nicolas, we work from home and live with 1 teenager, 1 grandmother close to our house, 6 dogs, 3 cats, a few chickens, in a large house in the south-west of France, in the south of the Landes near the towns of Dax and Peyrehorade and 35min drive from Hossgor or Bayonne and the beaches. The house and its 5,000 square metre garden were built in 1870. It is located in the centre of a small rural village of 1,400 inhabitants, surrounded by forests, farmland and unspoilt natural areas near rivers. We chose this location for our work to be in a peaceful environment, close to nature and not far from the towns but also from the Atlantic Ocean, the Pyrenees mountains and the Basque Country.
  
  We are costume designer maker for cinema and opera and work 7/7 at home most of the year, so we would like to leave your house for 2 months to travel with our sled dogs in Northern Europe.
  We are currently looking for Workawayers for two months in a row : February and March (+/- 2weeks)
  
  After a week with us to discover the house and the surrounding area we will leave you alone to do home sitting, cat sitting, chicken sitting, plus teenager sitting at weekends only and help with the shopping and a few appointments with our Grandma a few times a week. Outside weekends (from Friday evening to Monday morning for teenager sitting) you can organise with Grandma to leave the house for 1 to 3 consecutive days or not, to visit the region, make activities, sport, hiking, skiing, surfing, etc... You will have acces to a car to help you. If you want you also can make more activities at home : gardening, DIY depending of what you like. we are open to discuss it.
  
  We speak fluently french, english, spanish.
  Our daugther is fluent in french, spanish and good in english.
  Our mother speak french only.

  You will leave on a day to day basis inside a small village, you can learn french, and set-up some activities or visiting because you will have time to do it.
  We will be able to help you to set-up thing in link with your desires and passions

  Arbeit

  Your multi-task mission will be:
  - Home sitting : you will live mostly alone in our home, but except during week-end you will be able to leave the home for few days in order to discover our beautifull place or pratice activities. you may have to manage delivery or appointments.
  - Teenager sitting (1 teenager, our 16 years old dautgher) during week-end: from friday 18h to monday 8h and full time during holydays (two wweks in february). She is student in a boarding school and then sleep at school from monday to friday. You will have to drive her to bus station on friday 19h and monday 6h30.
  - Cat (3) sitting: they are fully autonomous and can go out and in the house as they want, they just need food and water. but they are friendly and love to be pet. cats can be alone for few days with a good quantity of food.
  - Chicken (7) sitting: food and water, collect the eggs, and sometimes clean the henhouse.
  - Grandma help: our grandma lives in it's own house in the village, she is mostly autonomous except for driving and sometimes for few things, but she doesn't like to be assisted ! so you will have to drive here for shopping 2 times a week (you will plan it with her, taking into account your activities and her needs) and go to some appointement (doctor for example). You will be free to spend more time with her, she loves cooking, gardening and play scrabble...
  
  To do That If you have your own car it is great (we will try to lend a car if not) we will give a fuel package (money for fuel for missions requested). And a participation for food (money for food).
  Driving license is then mandatory ;)
  
  Optionnal: gardening and may-be DIY to discuss with you.
  
  We will stay with you one or two week before, in order to show you everything, help you to discover the environement, present you to some neighbors or in the local shops....
  We will be fully available by phone or net if you have questions before and during the workaway.
  
  Neighbors who knows the home will be able to help you in case of issues with the house or others things.

  Unterkunft

  You will live inside the house and will have a dedicated bedroom with its private bathroom. Then you will have full access to kitchen, living room, washing machine etc...
  We have internet by fiber, tv.
  The house is at the center of the village so by walk you have acces to a bar and restaurant, a small supermarket, hairdresser, bakery. Bigger shopping zone are 8 to 15 min by car.

  Activities close or 30 min from home are very huge. Visit the region, make activities, sport, hiking, skiing, surfing, etc...
  We Will help you in your projects and wants.
  You will have acces to a car and a bike to help you.
  If you want you also can make more activities at home : gardening, DIY depending of what you like. we are open to discuss it.
