About Us
Hello! We’re a small family of three visiting Colombia – myself, my girlfriend, and her 7-year-old son. We come from a multicultural background, speaking English and Dutch, and we’re excited to immerse ourselves in Colombian culture, learn Spanish, and experience local cuisine. Our interests include fitness, healthy and organic living, meditation, sightseeing, and learning about new cultures and languages. We’re at a beginner level in Spanish, so we’re eager to practice daily and improve!
Our Location
We’re staying in Chapinero, Bogotá, a lively and diverse neighborhood with plenty of amenities and easy access to public transportation. This area offers a blend of local culture, modern conveniences, and beautiful parks, perfect for exploring and experiencing Bogotá’s unique vibe. While we’re currently based in Bogotá, we also plan to visit Medellín and potentially other cities, so flexibility and a sense of adventure are always welcome!
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a friendly, Spanish-speaking female companion who would like to stay with us for a while. Here’s what we’d love help with:
- Spanish Language Practice: We’re beginners and would like daily opportunities to practice. Ideally, you’d guide us through basic conversations and help us improve at a steady pace.
- Cooking & Colombian Cuisine: We’d love to learn more about Colombian food, especially dishes that use fresh, local ingredients. If you enjoy cooking, we’d appreciate any guidance in preparing traditional Colombian meals!
- Childcare: Our son is 7 years old, energetic, and curious. Occasionally, we’d love a bit of assistance with looking after him, especially when we’re working or need some time to ourselves.
What We Offer
In exchange for your companionship and assistance, we provide:
-Comfortable Accommodation: You’ll have a comfortable sleeping couch in our apartment.. Our building is well-secured, and we have all the essentials to make your stay comfortable, including Wi-Fi, a heater, hot water, and a washing machine.
-Cultural Exchange: Beyond language and food, we’re happy to share our own culture and experiences. We speak English and Dutch, so if you’re interested in practicing either language, we’d be glad to help.
An Active Lifestyle: Since we’re passionate about fitness, healthy living, and exploring, you’re welcome to join us in our daily activities, including meditation, sightseeing, and traveling to different parts of Colombia.

¡Hola! Somos una pequeña familia de tres que está visitando Colombia: yo, mi novia y su hijo de 7 años. Venimos de un entorno multicultural, hablando inglés y neerlandés, y estamos emocionados de sumergirnos en la cultura colombiana, aprender español y probar la cocina local. Nos interesan el fitness, la vida saludable y orgánica, la meditación, el turismo, y aprender sobre nuevas culturas e idiomas. Somos principiantes en español, ¡así que estamos ansiosos por practicar a diario y mejorar!
Nuestra Ubicación
Estamos en Chapinero, Bogotá, un barrio animado y diverso con muchas comodidades y fácil acceso al transporte público. Esta zona ofrece una mezcla de cultura local, comodidades modernas y hermosos parques, perfecta para explorar y disfrutar de la vibrante Bogotá. Aunque ahora estamos en Bogotá, también planeamos visitar Medellín y quizás otras ciudades, ¡así que la flexibilidad y el sentido de aventura siempre son bienvenidos!
Lo Que Buscamos
Estamos buscando un/a compañero/a de habla hispana, amigable, que quiera quedarse con nosotros por un tiempo. Aquí tienes en qué nos encantaría recibir ayuda:
Práctica del Español: Somos principiantes y nos gustaría tener la oportunidad de practicar a diario. Idealmente, nos ayudarías a mejorar mediante conversaciones básicas y a avanzar a un ritmo constante.
Cocina & Gastronomía Colombiana: Nos encantaría aprender más sobre la comida colombiana, especialmente platos que usen ingredientes frescos y locales. Si te gusta cocinar, ¡agradeceríamos cualquier orientación para preparar comidas tradicionales colombianas!
Cuidado Infantil: Nuestro hijo tiene 7 años, es enérgico y curioso. Ocasionalmente, nos vendría bien un poco de ayuda cuidándolo, especialmente cuando estamos trabajando o necesitamos un tiempo para nosotros.
Lo Que Ofrecemos
A cambio de tu compañía y ayuda, ofrecemos:
Alojamiento Cómodo: Tendrás un sofá cama cómodo en nuestro apartamento. Nuestro edificio está bien asegurado, y tenemos todo lo necesario para hacer tu estancia cómoda, incluyendo Wi-Fi, calefacción, agua caliente y lavadora.
Intercambio Cultural: Además del idioma y la comida, estamos encantados de compartir nuestra propia cultura y experiencias. Hablamos inglés y neerlandés, así que si te interesa practicar alguno de estos idiomas, ¡estaremos encantados de ayudarte!
Un Estilo de Vida Activo: Como nos apasiona el fitness, la vida saludable y explorar, eres bienvenido/a a unirte a nuestras actividades diarias, como meditación, turismo y viajes a diferentes partes de Colombia.

Arbeit
We’re looking for someone who can help us practice Spanish daily, introduce us to Colombian cooking, and occasionally look after our 7-year-old son. You’ll be part of our family activities and join us in exploring Bogotá and other cities. We offer a comfortable stay, a friendly atmosphere, and an exchange of cultures.
Buscamos a alguien que nos ayude a practicar español diariamente, nos enseñe sobre la cocina colombiana y, de vez en cuando, cuide a nuestro hijo de 7 años. Formarás parte de nuestras actividades familiares y nos acompañarás en nuestras exploraciones por Bogotá y otras ciudades.
