Hi, my name is Sylvie, I will be happy to welcome you on 200 years old traditional Southbohemian farmhouse with typicall colourfull shield and big apple tree orchard.
Farmhouse is located in natural protected area Trebonsko, surrounded with many lakes, forests, fields and castles.
It is in small village with 60 people and has really authentic countrylife atmosphere. Farm is ideally located to visit many fascinating historical towns around. For example Český Krumlov, chateau Hluboka nad Vltavou, famous spa townTřeboň or Jindřichův Hradec with its ancient castle komplex. Trebonsko is perfect for cycling, there is many cycling trails, one of them is crossing village.
Other sport activities like horse riding, river kayaking/rafting, water sports on the lake such as wind surfing, paddle boarding, canoeing, boating are also easily accessible from farmhouse.
My goal here is to improve the house and garden without spoiling its spirit. I use natural materials (mainly wood, stones). Restauring original furniture.

I am always happy to meet fellow travellers and share experiences - i have travelled extensively throughout South East Asia, the Middle East, New Zeland, Europe and various other places - and i love to learn about places i have not been to.
The village i am living is very small and authentic ,people are very friendly and hospitable, hard working and living together with nature and totally different then in the cities. Everyone is part of the community,the best is to share something and you everytime get something even better. There is small pub, where the local discuss how was their fishing, harvest and wild pigs...you can see old people working all day and keep smiling. they will give to try best milk and cheese ever, you can not buy in any shop.sometimes there are pig slaughtering so you can try local delicasy.Local people are quite religious, most of them goes to church. it is also sociable event where people meet and talk.
I work lot with wood and stones i can show you lot of things about wood and you can try a lot of things if you want. I can also teach you how to drive tractor and plant corps and potatoes. i have wide experience with that.
My neighbour is old lady producing cheese and milk and other home made delicacy, she will be for sure happy to show you how to do it if you are interested.
On tuesdays there is a class of yoga where you can meet local´s woman.
i am able to provide transport to visit local attractions and i can borrow bicycles .
I make a great sweet apple cider and plumb brandy you need to try and i will be happy to teach you how to do it.

is completely voluntary and I am happy for you to choose your hours!
have several tasks need to be done now
there is apple harvesting time, need hand with picking apple, making a juice and brandy

cut the trees in the forest and bring them to the house
cut the wood in pieces for winter
4)
clean the barn and workshop
5)
need help with cleaning beams in the roof eaten with bug (kind of termite) and protect the beams against it.
6)
clean the area around the house from old stuff.
I have plenty of tasks around the house, also depends on weather. If it is nice weather you will work outside. if it si raining we can continue inside.

Unterkunft
Volunteers have a room in the house with its own entrance and own shower and toilet (there is photography of apartment).
There is farm just next to us producing home made cheese, milk and other great homemade products and seazonal fruits and vegetable, there is also lot of fish due to many lakes around so i will cook mostly from organic and locals sources. in the summer there is many fruit like rapsberry and bluberry.
Volunteers are welcomed for three meals a day - usually with lots of vegetables, grains, pulses, etc. i will ask you for your favourite meal, so i can adapt according to yours wishes. i like grilling on the fire. Regarding drinks, our tap water is very good and not treated with chemicals, we provide normal tea and instant coffee as well as herbal and fruit mixes for making hot drinks - volunteers can help themselves throughout the day. Volunteers can buy any special food or drink items, beer/wine, etc., they need for their own consumption from the nearby village - or can join on shopping trips.

I am visiting Prague often. will be happy to bring you there and show you best places and i can also pick you up at the airport. It is easy to get to farm. You will go city Trebon by train or by bus from Prague. It takes 2,5 hours from Prague. There is public bus station in village. You can go to cities Trebon or Ceske Budejovice near by.

We stayed one week in Sylvie's farm. It is located in a beautiful countryside, an area with a lot of lakes, making landskapes a little bit magic. At the beginning of my stay I was helping out picking apples and pears. Later we mainly focused on making a short promotion/introduction video together. In addition to this we did many small tasks around the farm.
