    You can find our organization in Fort portal tourism city,the gate way to Kibale forest national park.Fort portal is the most cleanist and organized City in (Western Uganda and in Uganda at large). The the only city with English name. The city of Fort portal offers you all you need, from fruit and veggie markets to small restaurants and even possibilities to enjoy nightlife. Besides that, it's gateway to Kibale national park,crate lakes and the stunning Rwenzori mountain.
    The organization was started by Toris with her 75 mother , later the some members from the community also joined them after seeing incredible work they were doing for the community.Toris is a social worker,in a certain NGO that works with the children.As a social worker,she has a pasion of the project in order to save the lives of young angels and become the shining stars of tomorrow. About ten years ago, Toris became aware of the harsh life faced by young children who are abandoned by parents, due to poverty, victims of HIV/AIDS Victims of gender based Violence the community . She decided to build a place where these children can live safely, where basic needs such as nutrition and education are provided, and where they can grow into productive adults with a promising future.

    After realizing the importance of education and development of young children, especially girls, She extended the services of the organization to the entire community in fort portal especially around kibale forest national park where all
    crops are destroyed by wild animals from the park and are left with no food and money for education as Ugandan Education is expensive. This does not come without challenges: families are facing many obstacles along the road to education for their children, among which diseases, poor health, poverty and absence of transport.

    Through, hard work,pation and sacrifices, the nursery school became a reality. At the moment, we have a 3 classroom and others are under construction.
    The school provides education to more than 70 pupils, from baby class to Top class(from 2 years to 8 years).

    The future plan is to enlarge the infrastructures of the school, in order to provide better education in a safer environment and set up a orphan age home to shelter those with no any single parent. achieve their dreams.

    Organisation is based in Kibale Forest National park ,just 10 mins from Kanyanchu visitor's center, Kibale National park headquarters for chimpanzee permits on fort Portal kamwenge road and is just one hour drive from Fort portal Tourism City and consists of
    various projects.

    1.Responsible Tourism.
    We try to benefit the local community from Eco-tourism by providing Tour and travel services in the names of African Gorilla Adventures,home stays,campsite to foreigner guests and connecting them with activities run by locals(mama africa cultural village) and 40% of money collected goes back to support the community. ask for a website.

    Nursery School

    Currently we offer schooling to 70 children in our nursery school .

    3.craft making
    Most residents in villages around Kibale Forest are farmers without regular income. Many of them know how to make crafts for every day life from different materials like papyrus,banana leaves,Eucalyptus trees 4.Currently we have 15 women and 6men to see their hand made items. We are planning to start anew project for example reusable sanitary pads for young girls and women who are not able to afford them will be beneficiaries and we plan on teaching them how to make them.

    5.piggery.
    We recently we gave away pigs to 15 different families in different villages in 2 year time and we shall continue to expand the project to different families we started with.
    We started with pigs,families take care of them,when they produce,the pass the off spring to another family. The aim is to provide a pig for every family which will help them to pay for children school education.

    6.Cultural Group
    Involve 15 locals,who practice traditional dance we help them connect with tourist resorts ,to earn some money by performing for foreigner guests.

    7.Health Education
    By teaching local people about HIV/AIDS,Hygiene ,sanitation ,family planning, environmental conservation, we try to create a better future for local communities.
    The Aims of the Organization is to to give a hand of support to local community especially to the
    people around Kibale forest national park whose crops are ever destroyed by wild animals
    and this has made them starve and poor which led high school drop out due to lack of tuition. through Health care,Education, job creation connecting local people in cultural activities, and tradition such as to contribute to the lives of less privileged children,orphans, farmers and un employed people that live around Kibale Forest Near Bigodi.

    HOW TO REACH TO OUR ORGANIZATION.

    We recommend you to book your flight from your country directly to Entebbe international air port which is near to Kampala capital city.The organization will organise
    Transport from the air port to volunteer's house on the cost of the volunteer.The time from the air port to the house is 5-6 hours of drive,depending on traffic.

    Before visiting Uganda, we recommend you to consult your doctor to test diseases like Covid 19,,typhoid, hepatitis B and A as well.

    Currently we provide free accommodation for workawayers in a shared house with different private rooms.
    You will not probably not enjoy the luxury of your home country.
    Rain showers are not common here, instead ,you will learn to clean your self with a bucket of water and soap (it's not difficult, and will even enjoy and become more cleaner afterwards.
    Likewise ,clothes and bedsheets are hand washed and ironed.

    Food.
    Workawayers will enjoy their meals in the dinning room, often with family members.
    Simple dishes are prepared by a maid.
    These are dishes include sweet potatoes, beans,matooke (savory banana)porridge, rice,chapti,posho,(cornmeal porridge, cassava ,maize,some veggies and sometimes fish or meat.

    We are charity organization,with small budget and voluntary donations of food are not un welcome. If you desire special meals it's up to you to purchase food in town and prepare the food.

    Water

    Tap water is used for washing and cooking. Drinking water is boiled but you might want to buy bottled water which is available and clean too.
    The place is secure and safe,no trace passes.

    Electricity.

    The place is equipped with electricity,this means that you can charge your phone,laptop, tablet, power bank but not at the same time.

    Internet.

    Currently there is no Wi-Fi at the place. Workawayers are advised to purchase a Ugandan Sim cards with Internet bundles.
    There are different providers of Sim cards with Internet bundles and minutes but Mtn and airtel are most common.
    You can purchase a sim card upon arrival in Entebbe or Kampala, but there are also possibilities in Fort portal
    Sim card including registration free will cost you around 20000UGX,(5,44USD,4,480EUR).the Ugandan mobile system works with mobile money that you put on your phone as it were mobile wallet.
    Mobile money can be used to buy internet bundles, to call or to send messages and it's also possible to withdraw or transfer money through your phone.
    In general,monthly 10G internet bundles will cost you 50000UGX(13,59USD,12EUR).
    In order to use social media, in Uganda, you need to pay taxes to Ugandan government. Monthly social media tax is 6000UGX(1,63USD,1,44EUR)
    In Fort portal there are many Internet cafes to be found ,or if you want to relax while browsing, you can order a coffee in a hotel with Wi-Fi zone.

    Transport.

    There are different ways of traveling from one place to another in Uganda.
    Within cities (such as Kampala) uber and bodaboda are used,in towns people rely on bodaboda motorcycles between towns buses and matatus are used for

    transport.

    Aboda boda is a motorcycle(motor bike) that functions as a taxi ,carrying up to 3 people.
    It's often a pleasant ride with a possibility of observing environment with a cooling breeze in your hair.To avoid ulgy discussions after the ride, the price for a bodaboda is needs to be established before mounting the bike. With time ,you will understand the pricing and comfortable bargain with your bodaboda driver.

    Clothing.

    Many travelers ask what clothes they are supposed to bring to Uganda. Of course, it depends on what you're most comfortable in. However, do not think that because this is Africa you needn't bring anything fashionable. People in Uganda dress very well! Colorful dresses, good jeans, branded shirts, shining shoes; Ugandans like to look good. It's possible to wear short clothing like skirts, dresses and shorts, just leave your sexy hot pants home. At the accommodation, you'll probably want to wear thin, short clothing and flip-flops. Keep in mind that items are cheaper here and that you can even have your custom clothing tailored here. You will pick a fabric and explain or even draw what you would like to have (jumpsuit, trousers, jacket) and voila: your personal design clothing.
