My name is Ronald , 40 a Ugandan National. An Environmentalist by profession, a farmer , Football Coach and Climate Change Activitst. I have 3 children, Timothy, Melissa and Vanessa.

I am the Director and Founder of this foundation but we have other Staff members as well. Since our inception in 2007, we have been conducting a number of Projects including, Music and Dance, Relief Aid to children, the Football Academy Program and now our tree Project.
Our Organisation's mission is to empower children into becoming stewards of the environment and more importantly guide them to become major stakeholders in the fight against Climate Change in Uganda so that they become the change they want to see in the World.

In 2016, we came up with the project after the realisation that Climate Change was becoming a serious threat to humanity Worldwide. We also realized that despite of the threat, no concrete measures had been taken by Government to address the issue and yet Schools were preoccupied by the efforts to have as many children pass in first grade without necessarily teaching children about Climate Change. Trees are being cut down at an unprecedented rate and thus carbon levels were increasing in the atmosphere partly contributing to change in Climatic Conditions.

We therefore came up with our Project with the aim of not only re- greening the depleted environment, but also empowering young people to become environmental stewards in their own communities by teaching them about the importance of tree planting in tackling Climate Change but also planting trees with them practically.
The project works in Jinja, Iganga , Buikwe and Mukono Districts It works in Primary, Secondary and Tertially Institutions. We have so far planted in 48 schools within Jinja District and we intend to scale- up the Program to other Schools in the different parts of Uganda and later cover the entire East African region.
Our Goal is to ensure that schools in Uganda become major stakeholders in the fight against Climate Change. We have the passion and determination to achieve this; and we hope that joining us will inspire us achieve this goal.
We also have The Renewable Energy Program which is part of our Project Strategy that equips Schools and Communities with skills in making low- cost renewable energy aimed at carbing deforestation and overall dependence on wood fuel which exacerbates Climate Change.
Of late we have ventured into the planting of Fruit Forests which we have effectively implemented in Jinja City where we have planted hundreds of Fruit Trees with the children. We intend to plant another 2 fruit Forests in 2022.
Lastly, have the Green Spaces Program through which we equip communities with skills in Vegetable growing. This aims at enhancing Food Security in Communities and tackling poverty especially among rural women in Uganda.
By joining us you will be able to make an impact on the lives of children and rural women where we work., because developing countries always suffer most from the devastating effects of Climate Change. At the end of your volunteering session, we shall offer you a Certificate of Merit which will help build your career as an upcoming Environmentalist.

  • Unterkunft

We recently relocated to our new Home Base, which is a 3 Bedroom House situated on top of Wanyange Hill overlooking Lake Victoria. The house has a spacious Living Room, Dinning a shed plus a garden with Fruit Trees and a friendly neighbourhood. It is a good hideout from the city noise and its hilly nature is good for an early morning jogging or evening Walk.

Being a non profit organization, we do not offer stipends for our volunteers. You will pay a small fee of 4 US dollars a day to help us organise tasty Ugandan meals for you on a daily basis.
There are markets for fresh vegetables which you can buy at very low prices. Besides, Jinja town also has very many testaurants which provide both continental and European food including coffee. They are plenty of options as far as food is concerned. During your stay, our team will also teach you how to prepare Ugandan / African dishes.
Volunteers should brace themselves for a hospitable reception. Ugandans are very hospitable and outgoing people. Volunteers will also spend some time in the evening to experience the lifestyle of Ugandans and also visit happening places like the Ndere Centre, source of the Nile, Sipi Falls, Kitagata Hotsprings, Mountains of the Moon, White water rafting of the River Nile, Bungee Jumping, Mabira forest tour and many others.
