Help us around our hobby horse farm, and drive my daughter to school or sports in the countryside, Drenthe, Netherlands

  Beschreibung

  We are a family of a mother and two daughters (16 and 8) who live on a hobby horse farm in Drenthe with 7 pony's, 2 cats and a dog.
  I started as a Equine assisted coach, coaching people with our own pony's. I used to work as a animal/equine teacher at a secondary school.
  We live in the countryside in Drenthe, in the north of the Netherlands, You can make beautiful walks and bike rides here (we have a bike for you) and you can swim in a lake close to our house.
  You can stay in a big bedroom in our house and share the bathroom with my daughters. There will be enough time to explore the environment. I do a Keto diet, the girls do eat carbohydrates.
  We are looking for women/girls (sorry, no men) who like to take care of the horses (mucking out, feeding, brushing, walking them ect), experienced riders can also ride. Other task are helping around the house (cooking) and the farm (garden, paddocks and pastures, hedges ect) and driving my daughter to school or sports, or do some activities with her.

  I'm a ambassador of Unesco Geopark "de Hondsrug" so I can tell you a lot about the environment and the history of Drenthe.
  You can also learn a lot about caring for an training horses (behavior, riding, lunging,), nature and horse farming.

  Arbeit

  We could use some help with the horses and around the house and garden, pastures, stables (mucking out, haynets etc). When you are an experienced rider you can also ride our Haflinger horses in the arena as well as hacking out in our beautiful countryside and the forests of Drenthe. My 16 year old daughter would pleased to accompany you.
  We could also use your help with the general maintenance around our hobby farm eg , mowing the lawn, cutting hedges, fixing fences, help with some DIY around the stables.
  Sometimes when I'm very busy, it would be very nice if you could stay home with my 8 year old daughter and help cook dinner.

  You have a room to yourself and a shared bathroom on the first floor.
  We can not accept volunteers travelling with their pets or smokers.

  In your spare time you can use a bike and visit New Amsterdam ( Vincent van Gogh spent here some time) or Coevorden, the Bargerveen, Geopark de Hondrug, Wildlands Zoo in Emmen or Gemany ( we live 10 km from the border).
