We are a family of four and have lived in France for ten years renovating our home. We are located in Les Eyzies de Tayac,an area of outstanding natural beauty, overlooking the river and surrounding countryside.We have been renovating our stone buildings, some originating back to the 12th century Volunteers can help with a variety of tasks, like pointing walls, tiling, laying floors and gardening. We are happy to teach people new skills so don't worry if you are not that experienced. You will need to like working outside for part of your stay but we can certainly guarantee that we will find you a job you like After a hard days work, you are able to explore the many tourist sites such as local chateaux, caves, gardens and beautiful villages like Sarlat. For the more adventurous there are activities such as canoeing, horse riding, cycling and even paragliding. We are surrounded by local walking routes and our area is well known for its prehistoric sites. It really is well worth a visit.
Heimwerker- und Bauarbeiten
We have started work on our third project, a small stone barn. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help point the walls, lay wooden flooring, general maintenance and plenty of gardening.
There is a two bedroom cottage available, equipped with wifi and tv.
The Vézére Valley known for its many prehistoric sites, fifteen of these sites are listed as World Heritage sites with UNESCO. Only 4 km away is Les Eyzies, the centre of the Pre-historic sites. The Vézere valley is the ideal destination for outdoor activities; hiking, cycle routes, horse riding, paragliding, microlight flying, swimming, canoeing, or just sitting in the sun? Should you get too hot the Vézéré river is located only a short walk away (100m) for you to cool down or just relax?
If you wish to venture further, a train station is located at Les Eyzies for connections to Bordeaux or Paris!
Own transport would be necessary as no bus service is available.
