  Beschreibung

  Dear workawayers,
  
  we are Eva (40 years old), Christian (39), Janosch (10), Jim (6), Cosmo and Raya (both 2 ).
  
  We are an uncomplicated, humorous family and live on a beautiful communal homesteadt in the middle of Germany, near Frankfurt/Giessen/Marburg. We would really love to take in a workawayer, because we are interested in cultural exchange (we have traveled a lot ourselves and have lived abroad several times) and would also like a little help with looking after our 4 children and/or in the garden and/or with the animals.
  
  Our place is something special because we live there together with other very nice people (in separate houses). In total we are 10 adults (between 26 and 40 years old) and 7 children (between 2 and 10 years old). For example, we take care of the huge garden together, look after the animals (5 sheeps, 2 pigs, chicken, 1 cats, 1 dog , bees), eat dinner together once a week and meet up every 2 weeks to talk about organizational things or do some personal development stuff. There is also amazing nature everywhere around the farm, so you can go for a walk, hike or mountain bike.
  
  We also have a big beautiful hall where we have yoga classes twice a week, every morning meditations, take part in a documentary film Festival or host other nice events (e.g. concerts, a festival etc.).
  
  If it still gets boring on the farm, you can drive to the surrounding towns (by car or bus), e.g. Gießen is great for a stroll around town, eating a delicious meal or going to the theater or concerts. The beautiful city of Marburg (30 min) and Frankfurt (50 min) are nearby, too.

  In our family, we eat together 2-3 times a day, where you are always welcome (if you need time to yourself, of course that´s no problem either) or spend time together engaging in various activities.
  
  In the community, it´s really easy to connect with other people because there are so many things that we do together: gardening, taking care of animals, yoga, meditation, cooking, organizing events, helping with funding our NGO, playing music together (there are drums guitars, pianos), sitting around the bonfire, doing art projects (mosaic etc) and much more you can think of (of course, your own ideas are of course also welcome).
  
  That way, you can easily improve your German (if you are keen, if not many people on the homestead speak English, Spanish or a little French) or learn something in the above mentioned fields.

  Arbeit

  For us, it´s cool if you help according to what you like doing most.
  
  It's less about big cleaning jobs and more about having fun with the children (usually not with all 4 at the same time :) or sometimes some cooking, driving or folding clothes.
  
  It is also possible to help on the homestead and learn some things about e.g. permaculture, communal living, sheepshearing etc. (sidenote: we are no business, nothing is sold to the public)

  Unterkunft

  You´ll have a very beautiful apartment to yourself (with your own bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen).
  
  You can see one room of it in the picture (with the tabe and the four chairs).
  
  Because of the kids, we have regular eating times, so that we can easily provide 3 meals a day. Every day, we cook a fresh and mostly vegetarian dish ( in summer with yummy veggies from the the garden of course)
