Hello, dear workawaers!
We are a family of three - Maria (38), Andriy (41) and Sasha (13). We are experienced workawayers - every summer we are traveling a lot to see new places and meet people and all the other time (autumn, winter, and spring) we are a host-family.
I work at a University as a Professor. My husband Andriy is an engineer. Our daughter Sasha is 13 years old and 8 grade of school.
We have an apartment in the very city center of Kharkiv in Ukraine. Kharkiv is the second-largest city in Ukraine with up to 2 million inhabitants, it has a lot of possibilities for everybody - cultural, entertainment, cuisine, shopping, music and sport.
Also, we have two green parks near our home. Kharkiv is a peaceful and safe city with free Wifi mostly everywhere)))
We are welcoming a female workawaer (sorry guys!) because we can offer only a sharing room with our daughter. The main work will be teaching languages - Spanish (preferably) or Franch or German.
Also, Sasha can help you with German and English if you need to improve them.
We are quite relaxed and non-demanding hosts! No hard and dirty work! Just enjoy your being in Ukraine as a guest!
If you are interested to earn some money during your workaway trip, I can help to arrange some job - paid language lessons with my friends.
Welcome!

This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Besides sharing our lifestyle and Ukrainian welcoming we can arrange some interesting trips to the countryside and to Kiev the capital of Ukraine. Your back trip can be from Lviv (Lemberg) so you can visit it too. OR! We have the Black Sea in Ukraine))) It is possible to arrange the swimming in it too (in summer)!
The main help will be speaking languages (teaching?) - German (advanced) or Franch (beginner) or Spanish (beginner) to Sasha. Also playing games with her, walking, doing some other activity that you can do with the kid.
We are not asking you for hard and dirty work but of course, you are expected to take some part in our daily routine - wash the dish after the meal, maintain a room clean, help with cooking.
IMPORTANT!
If you want to earn some money by giving language lessons to my friends we can arrange this.
Beside your volunteering in our family, we can help you to find some kids or students who need speaking practice.
In Ukraine, you can get at least 3 USD per hour for this work. Not too much but you can get a nice dinner in a cafe for this money or manicure or...
Life here is quite cheap.
