  Hi, I'm Domenico! I was born and raised here in Menfi, Sicily. After spending several years away, I decided to return to my hometown and enjoy the simple life by the sea again.
  
  The place where you'll be staying is in a very special spot, just around 30 metres from the Mediterranean Sea – you can practically step outside and be at the beach.
  
  I'm a practical person and enjoy taking care of things around the house and garden. There is always a little project going on, and I'm welcoming some friendly helping hands with everyday tasks such as gardening, cleaning, organising, shopping and small maintenance tasks.
  
  I also love sharing what I know and would be happy to teach you a few things along the way – whether it's cooking, practical skills or simply showing you what everyday life in this part of Sicily is really like.
  
  I enjoy meeting people from different countries, sharing stories and good food, and introducing them to the place where I grew up. If you'd like to experience an authentic side of Sicily, live just a few steps from the sea and become part of everyday life here for a little while, I'd be happy to welcome you.

  I was born and raised in Menfi, so I can show you a side of Sicily that you probably won't find in a guidebook. I'd love to share our local culture, traditions, food and way of life with you.
  
  Cooking is a big part of life here, and I'm happy to show you how to prepare some typical Sicilian dishes. We can cook and eat together, talk about local wine and food, and I'll happily share stories about Menfi and the surrounding area.
  
  And of course, if you'd like to learn some Italian – or even a few words of Sicilian – you'll have plenty of opportunities to practise! In return, I'm always curious to learn about other cultures, languages and ways of life.

  Arbeit

  I'm welcoming friendly, practical people who are happy to lend a hand with everyday life around my private home. The help can include gardening, cleaning and organising, small maintenance tasks, shopping and helping me with different little projects around the house.
  Although you may see photos of my restaurant in my profile, please note that the Workaway exchange is completely separate from my business. Workawayers will not be asked to help in the restaurant or with any other business-related activities. All help is exclusively related to my private home and personal everyday life.

  Unterkunft

  You will stay in a simple private room at a small campsite, just around 30 metres from the sea. The room has bunk beds and is simple but comfortable, with everything you need for your stay.
  
  I live nearby, but not at the campsite, so you'll have your own space and plenty of independence during your free time. And the best part: you can walk from your room to the beach in less than a minute!
  
  I will provide breakfast, lunch and dinner. I love cooking, so you can expect homemade food and plenty of typical Sicilian flavours. Sharing good food together is an important part of the experience for me.
  
  Depending on our daily schedule and how busy we are with guests, it may not always be possible to eat together. But of course, your food will still be provided for the duration of your stay.

  Was noch ...

  I was born and raised in Menfi, but I also spent many years living in Australia. That experience taught me a lot and gave me the chance to discover another culture and another way of life. Maybe that's also why I enjoy meeting people from different countries and sharing experiences with them.
  
  Now I'm back in Sicily, enjoying the simple things in life and everything this beautiful part of the island has to offer.
  
  In your free time, you'll have the sea almost at your doorstep – the beach is only around 30 metres from where you'll be staying. You can swim, relax on the beach, go for long walks along the coast or simply enjoy the sunsets.
  
  Menfi and the surrounding area are also wonderful to explore. This is a part of Sicily known for its beaches, countryside, vineyards, olive groves, good food and wine. There are plenty of beautiful places to discover if you want to explore further.
  
  I value openness, mutual respect and a positive attitude. You will have plenty of independence and your own free time, but I also hope we can share some meals, conversations and good moments together. For me, Workaway is not only about getting some help – it's about meeting people, exchanging cultures and hopefully both taking something positive from the experience.

  Digital nomads are very welcome! We have a good and reliable Wi-Fi connection, so you can easily work online during your free time. There is also space in the house where you can sit comfortably with your laptop.

  Travelling with a campervan? You're very welcome! There is space to park your van on the property – and you'll be staying just a few steps from the beach. Electricity and water can also be provided.
