Hello lovely people.
We are Primož and Liza and we live in a beautiful place on a hill near Nova Gorica. Please read our profile before writing to us, it keeps changing so be sure to be up to the latest update :) !
Current situation: Primož is going away for work from the end of January until March 2025. Life without him on the hill is tougher so I (Liza) would be very happy for some company. I need help with: walking the dogs in the morning, taking care of chickens, cooking lunch, prepping garden for the next season. All the rest is open for inspiration.
As much as we love meeting so many people, we are a bit tired from short-term stays. We feel like we just get to know you and you get used to fetching the water from the nearby fountain and then you go and then we and the animals are sad. That is why we are now trying to find some people who are willing to stay here for a while. Maybe a month, maybe more, maybe even live with us on the hill, all options are open, feel free to get in touch :).
In the summer we will accept also shorter stays (at least 10 days). But oh, where is the next summer? ...
There are big chestnut trees and in autumn we mostly need help with chestnut-picking and racking. But there is also a lot of other things that we would like to do/build - outdoor kitchen, yurt(s) or tiny houses, treehouses, etc. You are also more then welcome to be creative and create a project of your own. We need help at general maintainance around the house - animals, garden, nature itself. The other thing is construction work - we would like to build a tiny-guest-house, etc.
Our place is reachable only with 4x4 or by 15 min uphill walk. But here you are rewarded with a view up to the sea and beautiful landscape. Only 15 min further you can reach the top of the hill, with a watching tower and the view from there is amazing. The nearest city (Nova Gorica) is 10min car drive and the beautiful Soča river is only 5 minutes further.
We have two dogs, two cats and chickens. At this point i need to mention that one of the dogs is having some behavioral issuses that we are dealing with - long story short - he will need some time to get used to you.
We eat mostly vegetarian and local food. We try to go the shop only as least as possible. Food will be provided and shared, who cooks can be discussed :)
We live in a small stone-made house. For the start you would share it with us, but hopefully in the near future we have a little guest-tiny-house.
It is a very sunny place and a good starting point for exploring a very beautiful part of Slovenia.

You could help us create and be a part of this journey! We are still gathering ideas, trying to get through raspberries and exploring the place itself! You could contribute to something completely "in-the-making". I think that's kinda cool.
Arbeit
What you can bring is what we will use, we are not picky :). Bonus points for being self-iniciative and a nice human being.
We are the type of people who don't like schedules. You can decide for yourself how you would like to organize your time.Sprachen

Yes! Always happy to learn something new. It would be very good for us to learn some italian, since we live so close to the border... Also I (Liza) am a big enthusiast in learning sign language!Unterkunft
Off-grid. Solar power (we have a little fridge). Rational with water. Plenty of air and freedom.
We live in a small stone-made house. For the start you would share it with us, but hopefully in the near future we have a little guest-tiny-house. There is space to put up a tent and the weather here stays warm for quite some time. We can lend you our tent and we have some extra bedding. Was noch ...
The river Soča is 20 min drive away from the place and then there is this whole Soča valley to explore and it is so beautiful! There is a lot of hiking and biking options all around. There are a lot of downhill trails nearby (you could leave from the house).
Plus Slovenia is tiny and we know some people all around the country so we can get you connected ;)Etwas mehr Information

Our wi-fi signal is not the most amazing-super-speed, but it works just fine.. Not too heavy-duty.
Platz zum Abstellen von Camper Vans
Optionaly. Unfortunately our place is not (yet) reachable with a campervan, but there is a parking spot nearby - around 15 min walk.
Hier sind Haustiere in der Regel willkommen
Preferably not as we already have two dogs (and one of them can be a bit protective of the place).
