Beschreibung
We are a Non-Profit Organization in the process of building an Ocean Conservation and Whale Sanctuary for a Northern Resident Orca who was captured from her home waters and placed into captivity 54 Years ago. She is the only Orca in Captivity that we know where her family is located. We are off-grid on an uninhabited island in the Broughton Archipelago Located on Canada.

We are located on Namgis First Nations Territory. Here you will have a chance to learn about the history of their culture and land while learning about the health of marine mammals on our front doorstep.
Arbeit
We are looking for a variety of skilled people for this coming spring and summer who have the integrity, motivation and inspiration to volunteer their time to help our Sanctuary's mission of creating a Whale Sanctuary for captive Orcas.
The skills we are looking for are:
-Carpenters
-Chopping wood for heating the woodstoves in the winter.
We have a winter caretaker position available in Jan and Feb.
Skills for this position include:
-Plumbing skills would be an asset. Or a strong skill in problem-solving.
-Being able to endure the natural elements, rain, and wind.
-Boat driving skills
The winter brings peaceful solitude and the opportunity to connect with nature.
We are a self-sufficient off-grid location powered by 17 Kilowatts of solar with access to Starlink!
