Hi, I'm Ayani. I'm a Colombian writer and artist, and the creator of the Oracle of the Four Wheels, a divination system I use in my reading practice.

I spent many years in New York working in fashion design and pattern-making, and teaching metaphysical workshops. Now I live in the mountains of Cundinamarca, at El Nagual, where I write novels, make videos for my channels and care for the land, together with my dog Paul.

My path is practical magic, ritual and the mystery: the spoken decree, writing as an act of transformation, and facing one's own shadow as part of the journey. I value personal responsibility, real conversations and shared silence as much as shared work.

I'm looking forward to hosting people who want to learn with their hands and grow on the inside. I speak Spanish and English.

What I love most about El Nagual is the silence at dawn, the view of the mountains, the birds and the night sky. Life here moves at the pace of the land: rain in the evening, fresh air, and nights on the terrace receiving a limpia (a traditional energy cleansing) or sharing herbal tea during a reading.

There are caves, fossils and nature walks nearby. The town of Guayabal de Síquima is twenty minutes away, with a market, great coffee and a plaza for your days off.

    Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

The heart of the exchange at El Nagual is the inner path. In the evenings, two or three nights a week,I share workshops in:
Ritual and building inner power: a traditional limpia with bundles of lemon or tangerine branches, whose almost overwhelming scent lifts you from within, as well as smoke cleansing with sage, palo santo and lavender on different nights. Finding the sacred in everything, approaching the mystery through the cultivation of wonder, and the word, spoken or written as an act of power.

Unfocused attention: a perceptual practice for approaching life from beyond the edges.
Writing to elevate: writing from the sentences that arrive with your morning coffee, while you scroll through a playlist, or when you "mishear" somebody on the bus. Writing the perceptions that can't be held in a smell or a taste, only in words.
Resin sigils: design and seal your own intention in an altar piece.
Power staff: craft your own ritual tool from materials found on the land. Bring crystals and trinkets that hold power and presence for you.
Shadow work and personal power: responsibility for your own life as a prerequisite to enter the higher path.
Guidance from the Oracle of the Four Wheels: a reading every two weeks to accompany your process.

Workshops are an invitation, not an obligation.

You'll also live real Colombian rural life: speaking Spanish with Ernesto and Nino, visiting the market and the plaza in Guayabal de Síquima, and sharing herbal tea on the terrace at night.

From each person who comes, I hope to learn how life, work and the sacred are lived in other places. Every culture holds a piece of the mystery, and I'm curious about yours.

The main project right now is finishing the house. You'll help me with some painting, sanding, plastering, woodwork and keeping the site clean and organized, and on some days you'll learn rural building techniques from Ernesto, our local builder. No experience is needed, just willingness to learn and care in what you do. Technical work like electrical or structural tasks is left to professionals.

Spanish is my native language, and I'm happy to help you practice it in daily life: during work, at meals and in conversation. Ernesto and Nino speak only Spanish, so you'll get real immersion. I'm also learning Italian at an intermediate level, so if you're a native Italian speaker, I'd love to practice with you in return.

Workawayers stay in a private room in the main house, with a comfortable single bed, a nightstand, a standing lamp, a desk and chair, and a closet. For couples, I can set up a queen bed. The bathroom is yours, except during oracle readings (at most two afternoons a week), when guests may use it. There's hot water and a steady 24-hour wifi connection. I provide and wash your bed linens and towels, and the house is professionally cleaned once a week, so you just keep your own room tidy.

Meals are included. I cook a Mediterranean, mostly plant-based diet with cheese, kefir and homemade yogurt, plenty of protein from legumes and seeds, and occasionally fish. Help with cooking now and then is welcome, and washing the dishes after meals is shared every day.

We can host one person or a couple at a time.

In Bogotá, go to Portal de la 80 or to Puente Aranda on Calle 13, and take a bus to Facatativá.
Ask the driver to drop you off at the terminal for Síquima.
From there, take a van (furgoneta) heading to Guayabal de Síquima.
Ask the driver to drop you off at Pantanillo. I'll pick you up there.

Important: please don't ride all the way to Guayabal de Síquima, or you'll have to come back. Let me know your departure time, and I'll be waiting for you in Pantanillo.

    House rules:

    No smoking inside the house.
Alcohol in moderation, only during free time.
    No drugs.
    Quiet hours after [10pm].
Respect for the sacred spaces and ritual objects in the house.

Digital nomads are very welcome. There's steady 24-hour wifi and a desk in your room. Work at El Nagual happens in the mornings, so your afternoons are free for your online work, with workshops on two or three evenings a week. Please keep in mind that the 5 daily hours of help on the farm are part of the exchange, even if you're working online too.
