Established in 2009, our growing NGO addresses the need for community empowerment amongst the marginalized and vulnerable people of Eastern Uganda. Our primary focus is to holistically rehabilitate and restore victims of social injustice. We enable communities through primary and secondary education, vocational training and income generating activities, palliative care and financial development support for peasant farmers.
Our teams currently operate 3 nursery schools, a horticultural farm school fees sponsorship scheme and an empowerment program. We work with volunteers in any of these projects depending on their interests.
Whether you have an applicable skill, or you simply want to contribute to the aid initiatives in Africa, we openly welcome all. You can work for as many as the projects as you wish, for as long as you wish. This flexibility will also allow you to see the local area – Sipi Falls, the source of the Nile river and Mount Elgon; trips that we can help you organise to make your visit to Uganda a memorable one!

We welcome all volunteers and give the option to be involved in any of the below projects:
1. Palliative Outreach Project (POP) for HIV Sufferers – A growing initiative which provides at-home psycho-social and nutritional support to incapacitated HIV sufferers.
2. The Empowerment Academy – Vocational education, empowerment and placement of uneducated and unemployed youths, providing a career and income.
3. Nursery Education – Help us develop and educate 3-6 year old children of varied backgrounds.
4. Secondary Education – We offer an array of teaching and mentoring opportunities for all volunteers. Skilled or unskilled, all volunteers are welcomed to help us inspire Uganda’s youth at one of our many secondary schools.
5. Agriculture – some of our team members are involved in farming (horticulture, chicken rearing and small scale dairy farming). Volunteers can assist them in commercializing their efforts and planning for the use of their proceeds.
Work Camps, intercultural dialogue and social events
All people around the world can share their ideas, learn about others' cultures as they transform villages here. We will organize together with any willing volunteer to construct shelter for the elderly, dig and improve toilets for the vulnerable families in villages and go to gardens together with locals there. Join us and we will organize and interact to learn from each other.

There are two options for accommodation: 1. A shared apartment at our center, which is capable of housing 8 persons at any one time, sharing toilets and a kitchen; and 2. Host families in communities, where as many as over 15 persons can be hosted at any one time. However, over 50% of these host families are in rural areas, with basic living conditions.
Volunteers who opt to stay at the center will contribute 2€per day to towards its maintenance such as utilities, besides their own upkeep. On the other hand, those who opt to stay with host families in villages, our team members will accommodate and feed them freely.
Uganda is a third world country with many life challenges, especially in rural areas. Water sources are not clean, housing is basic and lighting is limited. Besides, health services are not so well developed but accessibility to towns where there better hospitals has improved. Therefore, volunteers, especially from the developed nations are advised to be physically, mentally and medically fit before embarking on a longer stay in rural areas of Uganda.
