Help on a non-profit foodforest under construction in Aalten, the Netherlands

  Beschreibung

  This is a food forest under construction in Aalten, the Netherlands. It has been founded by 3 people with the intention of serving the volunteers and eventually the aria. We are a non profit "stichting". In full Stichting ondersteuning the place. At present the orchard contains one year old trees, it will take at least 6 years before we will have a harvest. We work with volunteers that are all young, working and have kids. That's why we feel we are falling behind. It would be very nice to catch up with ourselves with some extra hands from Workawayers.
  
  The projects that will be available in oktober/november 2023 will be for max 2 people. We will be propagating, preparing the homestead for next year, planting some (very) small trees.
  
  Your housing will be with Ellen (59) in the centre of Aalten. The food Forest is 1.1 km away. Bikes are available. There are plenty rooms to chose from. Ellen organizes more activities around the house where you are welcome to join, Workshops on several subjects. You are welcome to join for dinner but also to use the kitchen to your own liking.
  
  About Aalten, you can find bars and restaurants at a 2 minute walk, a supermarket is 5 minutes away and the train station is less than 10 minutes away.
  The aria is rural and beautiful to cycle or go for walks.

  I am very willing to share my insights in foodforests.
  Also I do workshops on foodforests, together with others art workshops, cooking workshops, flower arranging. You are welcome to join in it all .

  Unterkunft

  There are several bedrooms to chose from. There is one bathroom with bath, shower and toilet. And a seperate toilet downstairs.
  
  I am pretty flexible, I can cook and we will share meals. I am a flexitarian but open to any kind of cooking. You are free to use the kitchen yourself if you like.

  Like I said, the aria is rural, I will provide bikes. You can cycle or walk, there are several small reserves. Some small rivers.
  But Aalten also has bars and restaurants.
