I live in the countryside in west Finland together with my huskies (about 36 in total). My own children are already adults.
I need help with the dog's everyday living. Preparation of dog feeding, give food, cleaning of pens, training, cuddling, and ensuring the daily well-being of dogs. Shoveling snow, carrying firewood, preparing family meals, and cleaning the home.
SUMMER/AUTUMN TIME:
Huskies live in the same yard, so howling is also part of the nightlife here (especially when female dogs are in heat).The basic daily tasks in the summer months are cleaning the dog cages, feeding the dogs, making sure they have water, free running the dogs, petting the dogs, carrying wood. In the summer it is too hot for the dogs to be running so we take them for walks and let them free run in the yard (and soon to be free running fenced area).
When the weather starts to get colder (about September) then we can start to train the dogs using an ATV and dry land rig. You will get the chance to learn all about running the dogs. Working on a husky farm is 80% other work, with only 20% actually driving the dogs.
The work is done with a Finnish work ethic and it is not light work (weather conditions, hard frost, in winter a lot of snow work, heavy things to carry).
In summer time I live15 km out of Siikainen small village (only one food shop and bank automat) and the next little bigger village is Merikarvia 26 km. The nearest, pharmacy and other shops are there. The nearest city is Pori 64 km. All city services can be found there. Pori is also the place where I can pick you up if you come and stay with me. My house is a Finnish traditional wooden house with amenities. I have an outside sauna but an inside shower and toilet. SO PRACTICALLY, I LIVE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FOREST. YOU SHOULD ENJOY NATURE, DARK EVENINGS AND IN AUTUMN AND WHEN WINTER COMES, THERE MAY BE VERY RAINY DAYS
As well as taking care of the dogs, this summer I am also renovating my house so someone with some renovation skills or willingness to help me with other tasks as well as with the dogs would be really great.
I also have to work so you will be at home by yourself for some of the time. A driving license would be useful but not essential.
WINTER TIME:
In the winter I move with my dogs to Lapland and run husky safaris. The basic tasks are similar to summer time but the weather is much colder and there will also be snow to shovel. You need to be comfortable talking to customers. The winter in Lapland is very dark.
I will offer you working clothes and warm shoes.
The use of alcohol is completely prohibited! I don`t smoke so your advantage is if you don`t smoke either

Arbeit
i invite you to share life in small husky-farm with friendly huskies. Help me take care of dogs, home work, general maintenance, making the snow work in winter time and gardening in summer time. Also help renovating the house.

Summertime and autumn you live outside the house, where is small room. Food we make in main house same kitchen. And share life like a family. Some dogs spend time inside the house.
