  Hi. I live with my teenage girls and our two dogs in a rambling cottage beneath the surrounding 900-meter-high rainforest clad ranges. It's a great spot that is about 40 minutes' drive from the city of Cairns. We enjoy a country lifestyle with fishing, walking into the range country, e-scooter journeys or a beer and a game of 8-ball in the local Pub. We often hang out with my big daughter's family, including three grandchildren, who live about 5 kms away on the other side of the Mulgrave River. We enjoy a glorious dry season and a magnificent wet season. Its a beautiful spot if you love nature and a country lifestyle and are comfortable in a family setting.

  Arbeit

  My girls and I have recently moved from living in the remote outback. I would love for the girls to get to meet people from other parts of the world, to socialise and have conversations. We need your help to broaden the girls' horizons, assist them to build a bigger worldview and to aspire to big and beautiful things in the future.
  Help with domestic chores is greatly appreciated.
  The cottage itself is as solid as a brick but could do with minor maintenance.

  Unterkunft

  A single bedroom next to the girls or a partially enclosed camping space in the outside entertaining area. All amenities are shared. All sleeping locations are safe and within the locked building / yard. We have a camp bed and swag if you want to camp or try camping. We usually have a cooked evening meal and help ourselves to breakfast and lunch. We have a good laundry set up.

  I have an 8 seater van so you are welcome to come with us to do activities . We have e-scooters so you can explore the surrounding countryside including the beautiful Bahana Gorge, or go fishing for Brim and Barrumundi. The dogs are big and sturdy and love going for a walk, it is important that you are comfortable with big, friendly dogs. The local Pub is open each day and is about 200 meters away, you can have an alcoholic (or a soft) drink and have a game of 8 ball, watch tv and chat with some locals.
  This is a small family environment so being able help with chores and making an effort to be friendly is important.
