  hello. bought this place ( 55000 sqm ) here 3 years ago and started to renovate the different buildings. the main house is an old palmento, a guest house, a pool, and now the old living quarters house. the property lies on one side of a river and is all terraced. from the terraces, you can see the sea and Etna. the village is a short drive, 3 min, and has all somebody normally needs. The sea you reach easily in 15 min. Taormina is 20 min and Catania center is 45. After a 25-year career as a photographer, I bought a sailboat and lived on it for 15 years. now it was time for this project. I got married twice but live alone at the moment. friends coming frequently to visit. I was very lucky to find this paradise.

  I traveled all my life. now I got more settled in this little Sicilian village and learn all the time. I guess for the person who comes here it could be the same. I hope to learn also from the people to come visit.

  Arbeit

  why I need help. together we are more constructive. Here on the land is so much to do. all the terraces could get a new idea. the property has a lot of water. so all kinds of ideas can be realized. there are free-roaming cattle and pigs and the fencing has to stay up-to-date. Approximately 300 olive trees and many other trees need pruning, firewood has to be cut. I am a good cook and cook every day and cooking for one or more does not make the difference. As a shared task it makes the difference.

  Unterkunft

  it is a little separated from the main house old renovated stone house with its bathroom and terrasse overlooking the river. have to say the river has rarely water but it is a beautiful river bed.
  about the meals. we are adults and we find a way to eat as well as possible. there is a wonderful big kitchen and I guess we figure out what we can produce. this is teamwork. I am not the mother type and I am not looking for kids.
  the town has all the means to buy fresh everything.
  
  I cook anyway every day so cooking for 2 or more should not be a problem. by sharing the kitchen work anyway. I don't see a big sense when 2 people cook different food but we are all different with different needs and habits. I guess the person who cooks does not clean.

  Was noch ...

  here are lots of things to do. The best would be for you to have your transport. At least a bicycle. On foot it is 12 min to town and from there are busses. the beach is 15 min by car and many towns are on the way to Catania. The train leaves from Fiumefreddo in both directions to Messina and Catania. Then there is the Etna and all the things you can do with a mountain of 3200 meters.
  The pool at the property is great for the 6 months in summer. the river bed is perfect for hiking and climbing. there are huge trees and give shade in summer. anyway, the big advantage here is that the property is in a valley with big trees and has even on hot summer days a comfortable temperature.
  
  so far I love it to be here.
