Quatro Anas is a Portuguese family farm, the name rooted from the warriors named Ana in our family. We are at the 4th generation of Ana’s and we want to open and share our beloved land in Aveiro (Portugal) with like-minded people that want to go back to the roots.
Quatro Anas are two conjoined rustic manor villas, located in Arrancada do Vouga, about 20 kilometres from the beautiful city of Aveiro. The venue is located in a quiet village with plenty of vineyards and farmland around, a few restaurants, grocery shops and a bakery just around the corner.

Here you will learn how to eat well, learn to grow, harvest, prepare and cook healthy food, breathe fresh air, have carefree fun, disconnect from the frenetic world and find inner peace in a natural environment.
You can learn how to make your own food from scratch (from cheese to wine depending on the season), you will learn how to live in balance with nature and how to be self-sufficient.
Most of the people that work at the farm are Portuguese so you will definitely learn more about the language, traditions and countryside lifestyle. We have bikes on site that we can borrow you so you can explore the surroundings and a family car if needed and arranged in advance for longer journeys.
We need extra hands to help with the daily tasks of the farm (gardening, farming, animal care, housekeeping, and buildings maintenance). Most of the tasks are related to the daily farm routines, and, of course, we appreciate help in preparing shared meals and cleaning common areas (housekeeping just for the areas you are using and clean as you go).
Depending on availability, you can get a private double room (normally during winter) or a shared 4-bed mixed dorm (summertime). We have no issues in receiving couples or friends :)
Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided.
We are located about 20 kilometres from the beautiful city of Aveiro, is a city set on the west coast of Portugal (great beaches), an hour south of Porto (that you can easily visit as well by the train). It is known for being the “Portuguese Venice” because of its canals that are navigated using the beautifully painted gondola-style boats called barcos moliceiros — a traditional boat used for collecting seaweed from the lagoon.
