  Greetings from the depths of the Colombian Andes. Let us introduce ourselves; we are Diego, with Belgian-Colombian roots, and Lara, of Belgian origin. United by a common dream, we left behind conventional life to forge a more authentic destiny in harmony with nature. It is the fruit of this transformation: a space dedicated to exchange, learning, and life in deep respect for nature and humanity.
  
  Diego: My world revolves around carpentry and wood transformation. As a carpenter, my craft focuses on building light, functional, and aesthetically pleasing homes. Additionally, my passion for craftsmanship leads me to create unique pieces, like earrings, encapsulating the beauty of simplicity.
  
  Lara: My professional journey spans from management to tourism and event organization. However, my true calling is movement as a form of expression and connection. As a somatic practitioner, I passionately guide dance therapy and yoga therapy workshops and retreats, exploring movement as a bridge to self-knowledge and universal connection.
  
  Joining us in this life journey are Ainhoa (3 years old) and Noé (7 months old), our little adventure companions.
  Inaugurated on January 27, 2024, this project is more than a place; it's a life philosophy. We offer a range of activities focused on holistic well-being, with a special emphasis on somatic practices and movement, as well as bioconstruction and ancestral wisdom. Our goal is to create an environment where each person can grow, share, and live in harmony with the environment and with others.
  We have 2 rooms available on weekends for short stays. The other rooms are rented only during multi-day retreats.
  
  Located in the majestic heights of Cocornà, here life flows to the rhythm of water and birdsong. This is not just a home, but also a retreat for those seeking an authentic and revitalizing experience.

  Saludos desde lo profundo de los Andes colombianos. Nos presentamos, somos Diego, con raíces belgo-colombianas, y Lara, de origen belga. Unidos por un sueño común, dejamos atrás la vida convencional para forjar un destino más auténtico y en armonía con la naturaleza. Es el fruto de esta transformación: un espacio dedicado al intercambio, al aprendizaje y a la vida en respeto profundo por la naturaleza y el ser humano.
  
  Diego: Mi mundo gira en torno a la carpintería y transformación de la madera. Como carpintero, mi arte se centra en la construcción de viviendas ligeras, fusionando funcionalidad y estética. Además, mi pasión por la artesanía me lleva a crear piezas únicas, como aretes, que encapsulan la belleza de lo simple.
  
  Lara: Mi trayectoria profesional abarca desde la gestión hasta el turismo y la organización de eventos. Sin embargo, mi verdadera vocación es el movimiento como forma de expresión y conexión. Practicante somática, guío con pasión talleres y retiros de terapia de danza y yoga, explorando el movimiento como un puente hacia el autoconocimiento y la conexión universal.
  
  Junto a nosotros en este viaje de vida están Ainhoa (3 años) y Noé (7 meses), nuestros pequeños compañeros de aventuras.
  
  FInaugurado el 27 de enero de 2024, este proyecto es más que un lugar; es una filosofía de vida. Ofrecemos un abanico de actividades centradas en el bienestar integral, con un enfoque especial en prácticas somáticas y movimiento, así como en la bioconstrucción y la sabiduría ancestral. Nuestro objetivo es crear un ambiente donde cada persona pueda crecer, compartir y vivir en armonía con el medio ambiente, y con los demás.
  Contamos con 2 habitaciones disponibles en fines de semana para estancias cortas. Las otras habitaciones se alquilan solamente durante retiros de varios días.
  
  Ubicados en las majestuosas alturas de Cocornà, aquí la vida transcurre al ritmo del agua y el canto de los pájaros. No solo es un hogar, sino también un retiro para aquellos que buscan una experiencia auténtica y revitalizante.

  Join us to discover an alternative and authentic way of life. Our place is situated in Cocornà which is a typical village out of the road (touristy for locals but not for foreigners).
  Here you will have the ocasión to learn carpentry, ecoconstruction and other basic green life principles.
  You will also have the ocasión to live the community life as we belong to a collective (including Colombians and Europeans) with whom we share common objectives such as education, the preservation of water, the preservation of ancestral knowledge and the creation of natural reserves. We also share a space with a Wiwa family (indigenous people) who share with us their ancestral knowledge and wisdom. We meet every week for collective work and shared food and share mambeaderos and ancestral/plant medicines in our malokas.
  
  Cocornà is a typical Colombian village, with its lively central square, restaurants and cafes . The climate in Cocornà is ideal with an average of 24°C all year round. It is very popular for its natural pools and waterfalls! There are some close to our finca.
  
  Several beautiful walks leading to water points (natural pools, waterfalls) are accessible from the finca. Other activities are possible (mountain biking, kayaking/rafting/canyoning, bird watching, paragliding, visiting the indigenous village/common space if the community,...)

  Arbeit

  - We need support in communication (social medias, website review, fotografy, video making, content management,...)
  - Ainhoa and Noé need a nany
  - We often have rooms rented on saturdays and need support to prepare the 2 rooms.
  - The garden needs green hands
  - Diego always need people with carpentry and consruction skills.
  - Even if we some days we have help from locals to organize the house and for cooking, we may need more support for these tasks.
  
  We especialy search for people helping in the kitchen for our next retreats; 23-25 February, 1-3 March, 7-10 March, 14-17 March, 7-14 april

  Unterkunft

  You will stay in our camp space in the forest. The space includes a big refuge with two beds (can be put together), shower and toilet. Enjoy the river and the fire place just next to the camp. You have also access to a big kitchen and beautiful chill space (including a yoga/dance platform when not used for retreats)!

  COMUNICATION: For us, communication and trust are the most important, and particularly with the volonteers we recieve. It is really important that volonteers feel home and wellbeing comes before work results. This is why we organise regularly mambeaderos (sort of circulo de palabra) so everyone can share whatever he feels and need to share in order to improve comunity living. This is a space where agreements can also be reviewed.
  
  AGREEMENT: we usualy start with the following exchange: minimum 3 weeks, 4 hours a day, 5 days a week in exchange of accomodation all week and one shared meals for five days. Depending on the tasks, skills and the implication, of the workawayer, we are open to change the agreement and pay for food for example.
  
  ACCESS:The finca is quite isolated to offer a total immersion in the nature. (10 min in mototaxi)
  2h from Medellin, 1h30 from airport (direct buses to the village).

  We have good internet conexión but no internet at the volonteer place. On week days/not vacacion days, our cabin is usualy not rented so you could go there, or be in our house/terasse.
