Beschreibung
I am retired and live in a cosy timber cottage on 1.5 acres in a quiet, peaceful forested area, halfway between Bellingen & Coffs Harbour, 3 kms from surf beach & the Bellinger River. Nearby activities include bushwalking, horse riding, golf, bowls, rowing, sailing, snorkelling, diving. Many native birds & animals visit here.

You will certainly learn about the natural Australian environment including rainforest species, flora and fauna. You will see many colourful Australian birds, some of which are quite tame. I have previously worked as an English language teacher so can help you out there.

I need help with organic gardening, yard clearing, firewood collecting, and there's inside work if it rains. I'm also doing maintenance on my timber home so any help with landscaping, painting and carpentry would be appreciated..

Airi and Sushi were great helpers. They worked hard in the house and garden and cooked great meals as well. I enjoyed their company and would recommend them without a doubt. Their English is very good and we had fun discussing language. I wish them well in their travels.

Minnie and Janice stayed in my home for a week and worked hard in the yard and garden. They helped with the firewood and raking leaves and branches around the house. They also helped with cooking meals at nights and washing up. They were great company and very enthusiastic about chores and learning new tasks. I wish them well in their travels.

We only stayed with Carole for a week, but it was an unforgettable time. She picked us up from the bus stop and gave us a sightseeing tour around the local area like Urunga, Sawtell and Coffs Harbour.

Hiroki stayed with me for a few days and was very courteous and polite. He worked hard raking leaves and gathering branches after heavy winds. He also helped prepare dinners and did washing up. I had been enjoying myself everyday while i was there. The weather wasn't sometimes good, but she brought me many many places. She is very easy going and gentle. And she taught me lots of OZ things :) it was only one week, but i had really nice time there. If you do workaway there, you might be able to see a variety of beautiful Australian birds.
