Hello! I'm a photographer and teacher from Almería. Lately I've been restoring an old house that belonged to my grandparents. The house is located in a stunning and secluded village which once was the set of three of sergio leone's western films and the house appears in these famous movies. As well as this, the village is not far from the farmhouse that inspired Federico Garcia Lorca for the writing of one of his plays. It is a very quiet and beautiful spot surrounded by a characteristic desert landscape. It is the perfect location to relax, enjoy and be inspired by the landscape.
Los Albaricoques is in the bounderies of Cabo de Gata Natural Park, which has some of the most beautiful beaches and coves in Spain.
The Natural Park is a protected landscape, but alongside it is the famous Mar de Plastico, a development of intensive agriculture under plastic.
So this house I'm restoring is old and although the works are almost done, I still need some help, especially with little tasks that need to be done. The garden, for example, has to be completely cleared and recultivated.
I believe that the restoration of this old house is my personal contribution to this (so close to my heart) place. The village is a stable, traditional place but changing and evolving at the same time. That I like.Arten von Hilfe und Lernmöglichkeiten

Travellers will be able to experience the diverse and rich cultural and natural heritage of both Almeria city and the Los Albaricoques, which is a more rural location, which many tourists don’t get to enjoy. It is located by Cabo de Gata - Níjar Natural Park, which boast some of the most scenic beaches and coves of Spain, as well as picturesque, quaint villages and great hiking areas.
It’s an inspiring part of Spain. Federico García Lorca, Bernard Plossu, John Lennon, Sergio Leone among others, have found inspiration here. It is a fantastic place to connect with nature or experience Spain's culture, art, history, music and food.
As I have already said, as well as teaching art I am also a photographer. I'd love to connect with other artists and exchange our influences, experiences and points of view.
In recent years Los Albaricoques has seen a gradual generational change. The town has been gaining a migrant population, most of whom work in the nearby greenhouses.Arbeit
There are still a number of jobs to do with the building and the garden and I would need someone to help me with small jobs (sanding wooden beams, painting walls and doors, gardening, building a dry stone wall, scrape with spatula the paint of the roof, etc.). We would share these tasks or distribute them between us.

There are two properties; the house I'm restoring (in the village) and my flat (in the city centre of Almería). We’d live between them both, according to our needs or the workawayers' ones. I'm open to suggestions and think people should feel free to choose what's best for them.
In the flat there’s a guest room, with a comfortable double bed. They’ll also have their own room with a bed in the house. Was noch ...
City, villages, mountains and beach – you’ll never stuck for something to do in Almeria city and province. The city is small, but has plenty on offer with theatres, cinemas, art galleries, museums, sports, restaurants and bars. Almeria is known for its tapas! There’s also a beach in the city. Or if you prefer more remote beaches, there are over one hundred kilometres of beaches and coves to explore in the province, so you can enjoy watersports or just a lazy day at the beach. There are also plenty of mountains and countryside if you fancy a hike or cycle.
I am a gay person so as a LGBTIQ+ community belonger I expect to find open minded people.Etwas mehr Information

The old house does not have internet access. You can go to the town bar. There is WIFI there. If not, there is 5G internet access in the flat in Almería

In my town there is a caravan park. Workawayers can park there without problems.
