  Good morning dear friends from all over the world!
  
  I’m glad to introduce you to my small family in southern Chile:)
  My parents, who I’m currently visiting for a few months, are mega interested to have some people come over as volunteers to help them and mostly, explore the island.
  Both mom and dad have grown old, that’s why they don’t have as much energy and support as expected.
  I myself have come to give them a bit of an energy boost to help them experience the joy of a hosting project that welcomes travelers for simple reasons, and same time have the time of their island lives to explore Chiloé, Patagonia and the rest of the country as well.
  We’re surrounded by nature, traditions and calming ocean views. Now, for the sake of our idea and your journey through Chile, we would like to invite volunteers to collab in any possible way.
  Are you a painter? a gardener? Do you like to cook and share traditional dishes from your country? Do you like building, cutting wood, sailing, fishing, washing dishes, drawing or taking pictures? If so, you are welcome to our little place.
  Is it cool? Yes it is, but also cold
  So for that, we’re looking for volunteers to offer whatever they love the most and share it with us. We want to make it simple and keep it organised for everyone to feel okay with it. No hidden details or weird expectations, just our dream to have someone to help us in very simple island chores and have good times with, and the tranquility to know that you can call this place your home and feel welcome, even if temporary.

  Volunteering with us is also a nice opportunity for cultural exchange. By staying on our island, you’ll be able to meet not only the local community—neighbors, fishermen, and families who live in a traditional way—but also other travelers, campers, hikers, and backpackers from all over the world, since winter is high season in southern Chile. On weekends, if you explore nearby islands or visit the cities on the mainland, you’ll encounter tourists and adventurers who come here to enjoy the landscapes and culture.

  what is your Roman Empire?
  We may need your help to lighten up this cold winter fase del semestre!
  We don’t require professional experts in any field (but if you are, well that's cool anyways:) , just motivated people who enjoy working with their hands and sharing their skills.
  
  What can we offer a friendly volunteer like you?
  
  We have a small cozy cabin nearby my parent’s house. You’ll be living and resting there. I'll be around with some german friends (sleeping there ocassionally) , as we will travel to Patagonia for a month. If you are up for it, you are 10000% welcome. We will plan our trip and arrange details at the cabin, so you'll prob see us running after snacks and lost shoes!
  Papa will brag about his cooking skills once in a while, for he knows how good it is to have a nice meal before and after a hard day.
  You’ll be given breakfast every morning, and dinner (details as to wether you’re responsible for cooking your other 2 meals or have no problems accepting what we’ve prepared for you are to be discussed in detail once we start organising our project and plan)
  Since we are a very moovy family, having lunch together isn't such a thing, so details about it might be discussed once we get in touch.
  We do offer vegan meals as well, and do not discriminate people who eat meat.
  
  We offer you peace and tranquility: most of the volunteering programs offer proximity, friendly vibes and good memories, that are sometimes hard to achieve in the middle of a life transition. Every volunteer has a different story, and we understand that’s overwhelming to adapt and so overrated to have the fun at the speediest way possible, while managing to work in the field and try to be welcoming to strangers.
  We do not want you to feel forced to interact with us, but rather be truly free to rest and have your own space to do so. Mama and papa are always there to have a mate or a teacup and find extra excuses to eat biscuits and homemade carrot cake, so you’re always welcome to join 🤍
  
  Well, is there any extra perks at all?
  Heii yes, you can join us for sailing with small “Dafne”, "Luis Alberto" or with kayaks. When home, I love to go for a rowing trip and pick wild fruits and herbs around the island. We can find very nice things around 😊
  We can help you out with your Spanish, and if you have nothing but an hola, we can also teach you some basics and make it easy for you to survive here 😆
  
  *My parents do not use Internet at home, so we don’t have a wifi connection to offer you, but SIM cards with prepaid data are really affordable (50 GB/6€ for example)
  
  But Bianca, why should I go to your island?
  Panorama, memories, tradition, music, culture, gastronomy, warmth, friendly locals, fotos, songs, cold gardens, feelings. You can have them here without putting your life in danger or having to worry about your destiny or existence for a moment. Just come, plant some veggies, draw something, get inspired, get your backpack, go explore all the islands and towns and mountains you can, and go swim🌸
  
  Explore, explore and explore. We have plenty of famous national parks in this region and in Patagonia.
  
  Chile is a place for you to feel forever home and never isolated. We might be islanders, but we don’t want you to feel like you’re stuck in a paradox.
  
  Volunteering is an open door to know yourself and care for your values as you help others to care for theirs.
  
  Enjoy a slower pace of life, ideal for reconnecting with yourself and nature: if you’re still figuring some things out in your life, this might be the best place to have your own way to the peace and clarity you want. Friends who are travelling together are always welcome😊

  First of all, you can join us regardless of your background, culture, religion and race.
  My parents only speak a little English, but since I will stay right now and here with them, I can support communication in Spanish, Portuguese, German, and English (I work as a translator and interpreter). This way you will feel comfortable and supported in your stay.
  
  Working hours are still being discussed, as we would like to have a good balance for you. We will make sure you have enough free time to discover the next cool thing, you know?

  You’ll stay in a cozy cabin next to my parents house, that’s why this project is perfect for backpackers and friends who are willing to stay together. We have two rooms with two beds each (second room has an extra emergency bed, in case you come with a random friend)
