  Beschreibung

  I am a 40 year old mother of a 4 year old and a 8 year old.
  I live in a fairly central neighbourhood of the capital with my husband and girls in a comfortable apartment. It has really good connections to the city centre and other interesting places in the capital area.
  We are really calm people in general, except of course the kids are full of energy. We don't drink, smoke or anything like that and prefer to not be around drunk people (a couple of beers or a bottle of wine isn't a problem of course).
  I am a knitter and love crafting (and yarn!) in general, I love talking about all kinds of topics and am a very good listener, my husband is into computer stuff, coffee, cooking, 3D printing, cars and more.
  My older daughter is quite active, does gymnastics and ballet while the younger is more of a thinker but does kiddy judo and loves going to the playground.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  We live in a very typical modern icelandic neighbourhood, so you would be immersed in icelandic everyday culture. My family is very typically icelandic but my husband is czech. I am happy to talk about Iceland, icelandic people, culture and history (and language of course). I have studied a bit of university level geology so I could probably provide some interesting knowledge about that too, since Iceland is of course a really interesting geological area.
  My parents live in the countryside of Iceland so a visit to them would be possible if you would like to experience that kind of environment too.

  Arbeit

  I would like help tidying/cleaning/sorting through things in the home. Basically my home is a mess and I just get a headache looking at it and don't know where to start. I need help with organising our things and cutting down on clutter, doing tasks and helping with the kids. I have back problems so I can't do much heavy lifting or strenuous tasks so help with those kind of tasks would be invaluable. I don't have much energy in general and have ADHD so the executive dysfunction is high, I need a kick in the butt basically. 🤭

  Unterkunft

  You would have a private room with a sofa bed, there is a tv in the room and a little table (also a desk chair squished in there). The bed takes up most of the space but it is a decently sized room.
  There is a shared bathroom just outside the bedroom.
  We usually cook dinner for the whole family, breakfast and lunch are a bit more loosey goosey but I would love to make it a bit more structured with making prepared meals. You would have full access to all the food in the kitchen just like the rest of the family.

  Was noch ...

  There is lots to see here in the city and my home has many bus stops close by, a nice park a 10 minute walk away and one of the main shopping malls as well. The city centre is a short busride away or even within a manageable walking distance if you like walking. Relaxing at home is perfectly fine too, we have netflix, disney+ and loads of other entertainment. I can also teach you knitting/crochet if you are interested. :D I have adult colouring books, a sewing machine, cross stitch stuff and painting/drawing supplies that you can use too.
  I have anxiety so I like to keep things as stress free as possible and would prefer people in my home to be calm and positive mostly. I don't handle a lot of noise too well.

  There is a small desk in the room, tv with an apple tv box, a deskchair and the internet connection is very good. It is the best you can get here basically (optical fiber 1 gb connection).
