Hi guys,

My name is Remon and we run an eco lodge called Eco Lodges, 40 mins east of Kandy. We are excited to offer a new opportunity for volunteers to become part of our community here in the Jungle.

So what do we do? Well, we are hidden away in the jungle immersed in nature. We promote a simple and sustainable lifestyle together with the local community. 90% of our staff are from the surrounding villages and our projects are all community driven. Besides the eco lodge, we run a forest conservation foundation and a community spice project where we work with our local farmers and produce spices such as turmeric, cloves, black pepper, etc.

So how can you help? We are basically looking for anyone that thinks they can help and who wants to be a part of our community. Are you interested in planting trees, painting, social media (making noise!) or just want to help with our spice production then please reach out:)

Accommodation is free and food is $72 per week which includes all 3 meals and unlimited water.

Was ist das?

You will learn about Sri Lankan village culture and the importance of nature and community in an ecosystem. The simple lifestyle will allow you to reconnect to your inner self while learning about the surrounding nature including spices, vanilla and so much more!
Arbeit
We are looking for like-minded people who share our love for nature, speak English and love working in a team. We are especially looking for someone with filming/storytelling experience through social media and videos.

Furthermore, if you love being in nature and want to plant trees or enjoy painting then please get in touch. We love creativity so artists and tree planters are always welcome!

Unterkunft
You will be sharing a lodge (max 3 per lodge) and staying on the land.

You will receive 3 meals (local food only)

You will be working for 4 hours per day, 5 times a week. Our days start quite early and if you are planting trees then you will start at 7am. The other tasks are more flexible but you will be doing min. 4 hours per day which will be discussed depending on the work.

It will be a learning experience that will contribute towards a great cause.

Nearby attractions include Kandy (40 mins), Dambulla (2 hours), Colombo (3.30 hours)
