  GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
  
  Hello, I'm Susana, a 53-year-old woman who moved to a rural property in the Llémena Valley (Girona) to be closer to nature and live a life more in line with my needs and preferences. I started this project with a lot of enthusiasm and energy, but due to circumstances, I ended up running it alone. That said, I still have the same enthusiasm and energy. Fortunately, my sister, who loves this place, usually comes every week and lends a hand.
  
  I'm no one's mentor, as I started this adventure from scratch at 50 with no prior knowledge, so my goal is to enrich myself with the experiences of Workaways and, of course, contribute my own, which are already quite extensive. That's precisely why I would be very grateful to host people with some basic maintenance skills (DIY, painting, carpentry, etc.). It's a very peaceful place, surrounded by forest and nature in general, and located on the edge of a natural park. There are beautiful hiking trails in the area.

I speak Spanish, Catalan, and a very basic level of English. My goal is to become more fluent, and I would love to practice and participate in cultural exchanges. If anyone is interested in learning Catalan, I would be happy to teach them my native language.
  
  On the farm, I have some elderly animals who are part of my family, so I expect them to be treated with the utmost respect. There are a couple of horses, a dog, a cat, and some poultry.
  
  TASKS TO BE PERFORMED:
  General farm maintenance: clearing brush, gathering firewood, repairing fences and some structures, feeding the animals, cleaning the facilities, repairing the dirt road, painting, etc. I request 4.5 hours of work, 5 days a week. Depending on the tasks, the hours could be combined to allow for more free days or hours the rest of the week. Most of the work is outdoors, but if it's rainy, cleaning will be done inside the house.
  The animals require the least care as they live in semi-freedom. You can interact with them as much as you like. The horses, in particular, love being brushed :-) but they cannot be ridden.
  
  ACCOMMODATION:
  The accommodation is a fully equipped caravan. It has a gas stove, refrigerator, shower, and chemical toilet.
  
  There is no hot water, but showers can be taken in the main house.
  
  Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the caravan.
  
  MEALS:
  
  Accommodation includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner in exchange for 4.5 hours. Lunch and dinner would be eaten in the main house. I think this is a great opportunity to exchange ideas, learn each other's language and cultural customs, and plan the next day's tasks.
  
  Breakfast would be prepared separately so everyone can enjoy their own space and privacy in the morning.
  
  I primarily follow a vegetarian diet, but I'm not strict about it. I can easily adapt to the preferences of other Workaway participants.
  
  TRANSPORT:
  
  The property is located in a town called Llorà, 14 km from the city of Girona. Buses run to the town; the nearest bus stop is 2 km away.

  DESCRIPCIÓN GENERAL:
  
     Hola, soy Susana, una mujer de 53 años que se mudó a una finca rústica en el Valle de Llémena (Girona) con la finalidad de poder estar más cerca de la naturaleza y llevar una vida más acorde a mis necesidades y preferencias. Empecé este proyecto acompañada con mucha ilusión y energía, pero por circunstancias del destino terminé llevándolo sola. Eso sí... con la misma ilusión y energía. Afortunadamente mi hermana, que le encanta este lugar, suele venir cada semana y me echa una mano.
  No soy maestra de nadie ya que empecé de cero en esta aventura con 50 años sin ningún conocimiento al respecto, así que mi objetivo es poder enriquecerme también con las experiencias de los workaways y por supuesto aportar las mías que ya no son pocas. Precisamente por eso agradecería mucho acoger a gente con ciertas nociones de mantenimiento en general (bricolaje, pintura, carpintería...)
  Es un lugar muy tranquilo, rodeado de bosque y naturaleza en general y situado en el linde de un parque natural. Hay bonitas rutas a pie en la misma zona.
  Yo hablo Español, Catalán y un nivel muy bajo de Inglés. Es mi reto poderlo hablar con más soltura y me encantaría poder practicarlo y poder hacer intercambios culturales en general. Si alguien estuviera interesad@ en aprender Catalán, sería un placer poderle enseñar mi lengua materna.
     En la finca tengo algunos animales ya bastante ancianos que forman parte de mi familia, así que exijo un gran respeto hacia ellos. Hay un par de caballos, un perro, un gato y aves de corral.
  
  TAREAS A REALIZAR:
     Mantenimiento de la finca en general: Desbrozar, recoger leña, reparar cercado y algunas estructuras, dar de comer a los animales, limpieza de las instalaciones, reparar camino de tierra, pintar...
  Pido 4 ½ horas de trabajo 5 días a la semana. Dependiendo de la faena, se podrían reagrupar las horas y así poder tener más días o horas libres el resto de la semana. Las faenas son en su mayoría de exterior, pero si los días amanecen lluviosos se realizarán trabajos de limpieza en el hogar.
  Los animales son los que menos cuidados requieren ya que viven en semi libertad. Se puede interactuar con ellos tanto como se desee . Sobre todo los caballos, que les encanta que los cepillen :-) pero no se pueden montar.
  
  
  ALOJAMIENTO:
     El lugar de alojamiento es una caravana equipada. Dispone de cocina de gas, nevera, ducha y water químico. No
  no dispone de agua caliente, pero las duchas se pueden realizar en la vivienda principal.
     No estará permitido fumar en ningún recinto interior
  
  COMIDAS:
    
     El alojamiento incluye desayuno, almuerzo y cena a cambio de las 4½ horas. La comida del mediodía y la cena se harían en la vivienda principal. Pienso que es un buen momento para poder intercambiar opiniones, aprender mutuamente del idioma, de la diversidad de costumbres culturales y organizar la tareas del día siguiente.
     El desayuno se hará de manera independiente para que cada uno pueda gozar de su espacio y privacidad matinal.
    Yo llevo una dieta principalmente vegetariana pero no soy radical. Puedo adaptarme sin mucho esfuerzo a las preferencias de los workaways
  
  TRANSPORTE:
     La finca pertenece a una población lamada Llorà situada a 14km de la capital de Girona
  Hay autobuses hasta ella . La parada más cercana a nuestra vivienda está a 2km de distancia.
