  Hello ! I'm Alexandra and I'm looking for someone invested, who has time and likes to tinker / help in exchange for a living room.
  The first experience was too soon and complicated but we have change the room.
  In the house there will also be my father (who speaks very little English) and my brother (not very talkative but a better translator) who works in the oysters of the Bassin d'Arcachon.
  
  You have to appreciate spending time alone too because during the week my brother works, however this can allow you to have time to visit what you want !
  
  Hello ! Moi c'est Alexandra et je cherche qqun d'investi, qui a du temps et aime bricoler/aider en contre partie d'une pièce à vivre. La création de d'une pièce supplémentaire (votre chambre) m'a donné l'idée de proposer un Workaway pour organiser et finir des petits travaux (ranger un peu, planter une haie au printemps). Dans la maison il y aura aussi mon père (qui parle très peu anglais) et mon frère (peu bavard mais meilleur traducteur) qui travaille lui dans les huîtres du Bassin d'Arcachon.
  Il faut apprécier passer du temps seul aussi car dans la semaine mon frère travaille néanmoins cela peut vous permettre d'avoir le temps de visiter ce dont vous avez envie.

  My father is very talkative and speaks very little English, guaranteed immersion in the French language ! Former worker of the SNCF and good French grandpa who owes his favorite subjects are the history of France and politics. He also appreciates cheeses and good wine in moderation.
  You can enjoy French breakfasts with butter jam bread or croissants.
  We can take you to visit the Bassin d'Arcachon (short trips), Hume, Teste, Arcachon and for your longer trips can drop you off at Gujan-Mestras station.
  
  Mon père est très bavard et ne parle que très peu anglais, immersion garantie dans la langue française ! Ancien ouvrier de la SNCF et bon papy français qui se doit ses sujets de prédilection sont l'histoire de France et la politique. Il apprécie aussi les fromages et le bon vin avec modération.
  Vous pourrez profiter des petits déjeuners français avec beurre confiture pain ou croissants. Vous pouvez manger avec eux si vous voulez.
  On pourra vous emmener visiter le Bassin d'Arcachon (petits trajets) la Hume, la Teste, Arcachon et pour vos plus grands déplacements pourra vous déposer à la gare de Gujan-Mestras.

  Arbeit

  For the works there are no specific schedules but the idea would be to do one/two tasks every week on a list that I will share with you.
  Example of work to be done : helping to push furniture, cleaning an old veranda, tidying up a bit: emptying a cupboard and dismantling it, sorting and storing household linen, sorting household products under the sink, putting them away, cutting down small trees and remove dry plants (autumn), plant a hedge of shrubs (spring)...
  
  Pour les travaux il n'y a pas d'horaires précis mais l'idée serait d'en faire au moins un peu chaque semaine sur une liste que je vais vous partager.
  Exemple des travaux à réaliser : aider à pousser des meubles, nettoyer une ancienne véranda, ranger un peu : vider une armoire et la démonter, trier et ranger le linge de maison, trier produits ménagers sous l'évier les ranger, couper petits arbres et retirer plantes sèches (automne), planter une haie d'arbustes (printemps)...
  Nous proposons un/deux jours de travail quand vous arrivez et après vous avez votre semaine de libre.

  Unterkunft

  Independent bedroom at home (small desk, wardrobe, double bed, wifi with optical fiber, washing machine, view of the garden).
  Inside the house access to the whole kitchen, shower, living room and TV. You can enjoy French breakfasts with butter jam bread or croissants.
  
  Chambre indépendante à la maison (petit bureau, armoire, lit double, wifi avec fibre optique, machine à laver, vue sur le jardin), très rustique on compte sur vous aussi pour rendre cette pièce plus agréable à vivre.
  A l'intérieur de la maison accès à toute la cuisine, douche, salon et télé. Vous pourrez profiter des petits déjeuners français avec beurre confiture pain ou croissants.

  We can take you with car to visit the Bassin d'Arcachon (short trips), Hume, Teste, Arcachon and for your longer trips can drop you off at Gujan-Mestras station train. You can borrow a bike from the house. Cycling on the Bassin d'Arcachon is ideal in the forest, but there are also a few beach buses and the train.
  
  On pourra vous emmener visiter le Bassin d'Arcachon (petits trajets) la Hume, la Teste, Arcachon et pour vos plus grands déplacements pourra vous déposer à la gare de Gujan-Mestras.
  Vous pourrez emprunter un vélo de la maison. Le vélo sur le Bassin d'Arcachon est l'idéal dans la forêt, mais il y a aussi quelques bus de plages et le train.
  En dehors des quelques travaux que je vais vous demander vous aurez la semaine de libre pour profiter du Bassin d'Arcachon, on ne pourra pas vous emmener dans toutes vos balades mais on pourras essayer de vous aider au mieux en vous conseillant les sites à visiter.

  No dogs (because we have already a cat and for the neighborhood it is not accepted). All other animals it's tolerate (including cat, rabbits and allows access to the garden or other traveling parrots).
