I´m Annett and I live in the middle of the Atlantic, on the Azores on the beautiful island of Santa Maria,
I live in the small village Santa Barbara about 5 km from the sea. My house stays on about 3000 m² land. I grow vegetables in my garden and in a green house and have also a fruitgarden and a lot of flowers -

On this smal and very quiet island, travellers have opportunity to experience how most people live here on the island. The Azoreans are very open-minded and there are always opportunities to get to know their way of life. You can accompany us to regional events.

Arbeit
It would be much appreciated to host someone who likes gardening to help me. Most of the work is to keep the space clean, weeding, cutting plants or also some trees for some hours per day . Sometimes are also some things arround the house to do. The time is very flexible and you'll have plenty of time to explore the island.

If you want to immerse yourself in tranquility and escape the hustle and bustle of city life, my house is for you. I live like most people here on the island, which means my home and lifestyle are simple and straightforward.
Here you are likely to see cows in the street, listen to birds singing from an open window, and watch time slowly pass.
Santa Maria has beautiful beaches, natural pools, and gorgeous scenery ideal for hiking.
The bus stop is about 2 minutes walk away. And you can always come with me if I have something to do on the island. It's really peaceful here and you can always hitchhike. -

She has cleaned up all my big garden in 6 weeks and was always there when help was needed. Every day she did all the dishes, helped me with my 87 year old mother and we cooked together in the evenings. I would welcome Beata again any time. Thank you very much Beáta!
